  2. Finally decided to let my Jazz bass go to a good home - well, in exchange for folding money of course 😁

This Jazz dates from 2005/2006 and is in great condition. There is virtually no fret wear and the body and neck are gorgeous to look at and play. The neck is the thinnest but is sort of thin-medium - feels great

  3.  This is a superb bass from the top class luthier: Paul Everson. It has a 40mm top nut, Schaller hardware, EMG pick-up, volume, dual concentric bass/treble with mid sweep for each. The current string spacing is 19mm but adjustable either way. It is a lightweight bass at 3.6kg.

  5. Details:

Taking a lead from our 70s Violin Bass models the Ignition Violin Bass guitars from Hofner let you get your hands on one of the world's iconic guitars. In contrast to the HCT model this version has a fully hollow body and of course comes with the famous Hofner control panel, wooden bridge and Hofner style tailpiece.

Hofner's comprehensive range of guitars draws on the firm's long-standing success making precision string instruments for musicians. The Beatles' Sir Paul McCartney played a Hofner Violin Bass, and the company's superb attention to detail and stylish design has continued to inspire both rock and jazz musicians to this day. Despite the numerous changes over 125 years the company is still strongly a family firm with strong values for customers, and for high quality, musical instruments.

  6. Here's an absolute peach of a guitar! It's a custom build by a Derbyshire luthier - Bloodstone. The quality is comparable to USA Telecasters and even better in my opinion! The attention to detail is superb. The guitar was built in 2017, still as new with labels, plastic film on the pick-ups, and has just had a pro set-up with Elixir strings 9-42. The volume and tone controls provide you with a broad tonal range and the addition of the three-way toggle gives you a load more tonal variety - everything from a jazzy Les Paul vibe to funk to crystal clear treble.

  7. Firstly, this is a Stratocaster style guitar using some Fender sourced parts. The pick-ups and scratchplate are a generic type sourced from a reputable supplier. Secondly, just to be absolutely clear, this is not a genuine full spec Fender guitar.
The guitar has been set-up beautifully and plays really nicely. There is no fret wear, the fretboard is superb and the action is medium/low. You have the usual range of Strat sounds with the volume, tone, tone and 5-way selector.
There are some very slight marks on the body but nothing detrimental to the looks or sound.
A real peach of a guitar that sounds as good as it looks.

    Looking for £295 plus shipping.

picture above is the second release of the Pro basses with the tear drop control plate:

    http://walbasshistory.blogspot.com/p/a-minor-diversion.html

these ones were made with one pickup; either in the neck position or bridge.

the only pickup position for the original Pro I or Ie were the neck position since Wal only had one control plate for both Pro I or Ie....

so just to comment, the one you own is an original Pro I, so where the pickup is now IS the original pickup position.

Thank you for the info. Really appreciate the history😃

Is the second cavity in the Wal bridge pickup position?

The 'second' cavity appears to be the original pick-up position - see image below for early Pro 1 fretless. The second cavity is now where the later models have the pick-up or when the bass has two pick-ups fitted. II guess an ideal solution would be to return the pick-up to its original position and find a replacement scratchplate...easier said than done!!
