That's nearly the same as my 30th Anni 'cept there are 3 holes in the top on mine and it's a Wenge fingerboard, but the rest is the same. I would recommend it.
Great value. If I had the dough.....
Cant justify the new ehb and fan fret models although they look awesome. Ibanez make super sleek modern bass and then stick P bass pickups in them 😃

The new sr600 is 599 in andertons with Nordstrands. The finishes are a bit meh so far this year.
Or this

Theres a well used but perfectly playable sr1205 on gumtree at moment at £425. If I didn't live in Ireland and had the funds I'd be all over it. New it would be 2x the price. Depends on whether you want 4 or 5 string but used SR premium is the way to go. I have a SR600 and it's an awesome bass but the nordstrand big singles would take it to the next level

I just got this Ibanez EHB1005MS in Black. That’s one hell of a great bass. Probably one or the best I’ve ever played and I played some stupid expensive stuff.
I really enjoy the feel of Neck, the light weight and the amazing Sound.
The multi scale is great. It’s effortless and it just makes sense once you played one. One of my of the best B strings I’ve played. What are the BH2s like? They sound very polite in demos, maybe more classic P? Looking at the green multiscale

Bought a Sterling by musicman Ray34 from Terry. Great seller, couldn't recommend highly enough. Item arrived on time as described.
Great seller, wouldn't hesitate to buy off him again.
Cheers

They must have read your mind, just had an email from Strings & Things advising me that EBMM USA are sending out a replacement pickup 👍
The least they can do really.
Hope all gets sorted

Guys
Does anyone know how brexit affects tax with goods going from UK to NI?
Technically they aren't leaving UK so do they still have 20% levy to pay?

Oh that is nice, especially the pickups.
The 5er neck is like the neck that every other bass should be judged by.
But maybe I have biases
I really want it and the 4 string in seafoam green is 1149!
Only thing putting me off is wooden pickups and 5er neck, I have a SR600 and love it.
SR5 is the front runner for sure.

There's a lovely Dragonburst SR5 for 999 in andertons at the minute.
Has wooden big single pickups to match the burl. Little bit offputting but looks aren't everything as above
What are the 5er necks like guys?

Nope, still available. Forgot about it living in the wardrobe 🙂
Ah I'll leave it for now anyway Shep, live in Northern Ireland so probably would be a kerfuffle to get it over here anyway

I also have a Premium Soundgear with Nordstrand Big Singles, the ones in the EHB are Big Splits (split-coil humbuckers).
The other day I was playing my SR1800E & noticing how 'raunchy' those Big Singles are with lots of Gain on my NuTube amp.
The Big Splits are quite close, but missing a little 'jangle' from the top-end, & not quite as 'raunchy', but you can use stainless strings on the EHB, because it has stainless frets.
That's my logic ATM, nickel-wound on the SR1800E (nickel-silver frets) & stainless round-wounds on the EHB (stainless frets).
If you don't want raunchy, get the Aguilars.
I believe I can get near a p-bass sound out of the EHB, by just blending to the neck & rolling back the treble-cut a little.
After-all, it is a split-coil pickup, similar to a p-style pickup:
Here is my SR1800E:
Thanks man, useful info!!

Looks lovely but the ray is my fave

I would always go for Nords if I had a choice in anything. I have some Aguilars and they are ok, but they are not Nords.
Yeah mate commented nords were a bit clinical and thin but he said could have been bass he was playing. Thinking the Aggies would be too polite for me.

Which one? Squire vibe,SX,Vintage jazz

SX are great, especially if you can get 2nd hand. I had a Squier jazz and SX P, level on quality for me.
