Hi Basschatters...first time post here I've started putting a band together (got tired of looking for one that fitted). There are 3 of us so far (ladyvocals, drums, guitar) and we are looking for a bass player to complete the lineup. Everyone is good at their thing and all have been playing for plenty of years. We're all thirty-somethings, come from far and wide, and live in the Lincoln area. We've had a couple of rehearsals where we kicked a few tunes about and things look promising. So far we've had a go at: - Son Of A Preacher Man (Dusty Springfield) - Billie Jean (Michael Jackson) - Give Me One Reason (Tracy Chapman) - Valerie (Amy Winehouse...chilled-out version) - Summertime (Eva Cassidy) - Turn Me On (Nora Jones) - Wild Horses (The Stones/The Sundays) - You've Got The Love (Florence and the Machine) Bit of a mix there but then we're still finding our niche...here's a chance to get in and start influencing things before we get set in our ways So we need everything from slow blues to walking jazz lines to funky 'motors'. We might even let you slap a bit. Plenty of ground to cover as there's only one guitar. BVs would be a bonus! If that sounds at all interesting and - you can make it to weekly rehearsals (usually on a Wednesday) - you've got reliable kit and transport - you're reliable then get in touch!
