1. A big inspiration of mine is Nikki Sixx. Forget about the drugs and rock n roll lifestyle, I always admired how stubborn and head strong he is. And c'mon, who doesn't love a bit of Crüe?! I'm usually drawn to the bassists in a band, but Nikki Sixx is the main guy who encouraged me to pick up a bass and learn.
 2. I've not even heard of synesthesia until now.. that's really interesting. I don't really visualize anything whilst playing, my mind is blank.
 3. I'm up for coming along by the way. I've got a 4-string Westfield p-bass (see avatar).
 4.
Greetings. I am in Putney, London. Good luck with your bass playing.
Cheers!
Greetings. I've never had a lesson in my life and I'm a world famous rock star now.*
Oh wow, awesome! Congrats on the success.
Those Westfield purple P-Basses look cool... It's a shame that that Fender don't offer the same colours all these cheap makes do!
LOL! That almost seemed like a dig at my cheap bass.
 5.
Welcome, from a former Londoner! What bass did you buy, out of interest?
It's a westfield. I'm not sure of the exact make.
 6. Thanks for the welcome. It's good to know of others who have taught themselves. And yes I'm definitely gonna get out and play in public as soon as I know more what I'm doing.
 7. That's London UK, not Canada. My name is Mazarra, Maza for short. I'm 18, female. I'm very new to bass, I've only recently brought my first bass (I named him Cory!) and just joined this site to meet fellow bassists. I'm attempting to teach myself as money is tight, I brought a bunch of books and so far so good. I'm kinda counting on practice making perfect. And also, a friend of mine reckons that girls are naturally good bass players. He may just be pulling my leg.. any idea if there's any truth to that?
