1. We've shipped some Programmable EQ's out to our distributors this past month so they have likely arrived by now. I know that Bass Direct should be carrying them. Here is the link: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Effects_Pedals.html
 2. World of fun is an understatement! The thing is a monster effect.
 3. Glad to see everyone is into the BEF Pro over here! I made blog entry on the Source Audio website detailing some of the settings from the 'Slurple Gurp' BEF Pro video. That should point you in the right direction for getting those dubstep sounds. If anyone has any questions, I'm happy to help! 5.
Wow that looks the business. Any idea yet on the pricing for such a beast!
221 EU. We are expecting to price it the same as our other Pros.
 6.
Can you give a sneaky preview of what will be in it? The main reason that I did not buy a BEF in the end was because you cannot save different sounds and without that it just can't replace my other filters.
Absolutely. Here are pics of the face: As you can see, it has the Pro Series interface that allows for up to 6 saveable presets. In terms of sound, what will really knock your pants off is the LFO sequencer settings. You can see all of the available wave shapes on the right side of the graphic EQ. Some of these settings create a sequencer-like sound in the overtones of your playing. So, as you hold down a low G, for example, you can hear it arpeggiating in the harmonics of the note. To help nail down the proper tempo for the LFO settings, we've given you the option of converting the right-most footswitch to a tap-tempo switch. There is quite a bit more to it than that. That list that you see on in between the footswitches is a quick guide to all of the selectable functions for an expression pedal. We can get deeper into that and some other features if people are interested.
 7. Love your enthusiasm, Phil!! I've started to track this thread and the others mentioning the BEF Pro, so that I can make sure I get everyone's questions answered. It really is a beast of a pedal...the production of the demo video has taken a great deal of effort in order to cover all the sounds!
 8. We expect the BEF Pro to be available in Europe in late summer or early fall. There is QUITE a lot going in the pedal, so please feel free to send any questions about it my way! Working on the demo clips/videos of it right now! Will
 9. The BEF Pro is expected to hit the market in America in mid to late July. There may be a couple of months difference between that date and the European date, depending on our distributors though. We expect them to be available through all the same dealers, including Thomann. I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has about the pedal! Will
 10. Gentelmen, After a great deal of pushing on our part we've finally gotten the Soundblox Bass Envelope Filter listed on Thomann. Sorry that there was such a delay on this! Sadly, we actually lost a few European customers because of this... The link is: http://www.thomann.de/gb/source_audio_soun...ss_envelope.htm If you have any questions about the BEF, send them my way! Cheers, Will
 11.
Um, hello, this is hard for me to really get across well. I'm 15 and reliseing that playing bass is really what I want to do in life. I've been playing for less than three years but I'm like above grade 6 standard, I read sheet music (three days locked in my room), I'm playing in a band (how many 15 year old boys don't?), I'm playing in a jazz band (accredited by local big boys as the best ever school band they have heard), I'm playing scores for big bands and in a school production of Bugsy Malone and taking as many chance as I possibly can (which ain't many in rural Norfolk ). Oh I'm also taking theory lessons and DB lessons. (Blowing my own trumpet, described as 'highly gifted' and the 'best bass student I've taught') So anyway, it's really frustraiting 'cause I see all this insane bas players, more than a few of them preside on this here sight, and I go to myself how do they get there, I woodshed day in day out I listen to whatever the hell I can lay my hands on... So yeh, what I'm trying to say is that I want your help. I want to know where you learnt stuff like how to play over chord changes, how to construct walking bass lines, what to listen to and how to survive in the music industry. (Also if you live/have knoledge of the Norwich/South Norfolk music scene where I could get gigs or go see decent jazz stuff etc.) I know I'm over stepping the line putting all this stuff up here and expecting you to reply, but I'm coming through in the generation of tab and eighth notes, not transcribing and quavers, so please help, cause I want to be part of the future of bass and I don't want that future to be bland, dire infact, because so many other elements of music nowadays are. Thanks.
Respect to you. Work hard and be patient. Listen to and transcribe great players that are varied in their styles and try your best to get into their minds. Listen to how Paul McCartney's bass lines work in song, how Victor Wooten's technique expands the range of the instrument, how James Jamerson bridges the rhythm with the melody. Listen to great gospel bass players like Sharay Reed to learn about putting heart into your playing: Most important, keep playing with other musicians and seek out time with musicians who are better than you. It will help keep you humble and on the path to improvement.
 12.
When and where can we buy it has to be the most important question right now!!!
That will be up to the UK Distributors...Thomann does carry our products and you can also expect to find them in many to most Warwick dealers.
 13.
so when is the soundblox envelope filter available to us brits? thomann arent stocking it
Thomann should have them available by mid-November.
 14. The demo video for the Soundblox Bass Envelope Filter has now been made public.
 15.
Can you buy them anywhere yet? I bought the Tri-Mod Wah last week and initial impressions are very good but there does seem to be a real drop in volume when you engage the pedal. Anyone else found this?
I got your PM earlier today about this...It could be the effect type that you are using since the pedal was not designed SPECIFICALLY for the bass. This video details a few ways to use the Soundblox Tri-Mod Wah with the bass. Hopefully it helps you and anyone else who may be having similar difficulties.
