  1. Never thought I'd let this one go but I've gone Lionel. I bought this from The Bass Gallery last year for 1200 and had my luthier fit John East. Atelier is a boutique Japanese bass maker that doesn't officially export to the UK. A truly exquisite instrument. 30" scale jazz bass, more than just a Mustang on steroids, it has titanium truss rod and a string through body. Made in Japan 2019. I've never seen another with this finish, so probably a custom order. It's a 30th anniversary edition with honeyburst, book matched, spalted face and rosewood fretboard. The preamp has been upgraded to John East (the best there is) with pull passive/tone control or active 2 band EQ. Strung with recent flatwounds, set up with low action. A real collectible gem. Potentially open to trades! Can courier.
  2. Lovely Japanese Squier. Not perfect but a really good example. Has House of Tone Handwound Alnico pickups, no hum. Recent setup, plays a treat. Now £575. Can courier.

  3. My first proper bass! Daphne blue with the following fettling: -Gotoh Res O Lite tuners -CTS pots (eliminating the pointless pull for quieter vol arrangement) -Nitro lacquered fretboard (professionally done) as they come literally naked. -Fresh roundwounds Couple of touched up chips, but in fine shape all round. Priced to sell. Can courier or deliver in the south.

  4. Here's my lovely 18v Stingray with 3 band eq. Never gigged, condition is 9.5/10! Comes with original hard case and TI jazz flats. Possible trade Sandberg or similar. Can courier at cost or possibly deliver.
  5. Nice, that's a compact monster!
  6. Finally surrendered to the inevitable... Pink bass day! Traded a Stingray for a Sandberg Lionel. Both parties think they got the better deal! 😂
  7. Posting gone a bit awry! The Jake came to me, went to a friend last year and just came back!
  8. Lightweight bridge from Albridge. Delano Alnico at the neck, Cat's Whiskers MM at the bridge.
  9. 32 Jake PM and it's Sandberg VS4 buddy
  10. So here we have a nitro surf green Fender American Original. Body and neck were NOS, sourced from Same seller on Reverb, and the build was by Indra in St Leonards, top luthier. Nice low action set up with GHS Precision flats. In the pursuit of lightweight we have Gotoh RES-O-LITE machine heads. Pickups are Mike Dirnt 59. Bridge is Fender Pure Vintage. It comes in at a fantastic 8lbs. I want to love it, but prefer a jazz neck.

  11. This is the Japanese active version from 2014, not the recent passive range.
  12. I found the original to be all bass and no treble, featuring a ton of hiss! The John East J-Tone completely transforms the bass, and adds passive with tone. I'm a fan!
  13. 2008 trans orange G&L. It's really vibrant! Sporting Delano soapbars and full active Aguilar Obp preamp with vol, blend and stacked bass and treble. Serial/solo/parallel switching on both pickups. Factory jazz neck (38mm nut). Fantastic rich and full tone with plenty of tweaking options. Comes with original 10 ton bridge and hard case.
  14. Having recently got stung, I'm beginning to understand why Bitsa is a dirty word! This one however is a fantastic hardly played instrument, commissioned by me, all work executed by Indra Guitars down here on the South coast. We have... Hosco neck, alder body, 70s jazz spacing Nordstrand soapbars, Hipshot Ultralites, Titanium bridge for added sustain. The knobs are vol, blend, tone. CTS and fancy cap. Thomastik jazz flats. Custom anodised pickguard and bespoke control plate, Gotoh relic knobs. Everything bought new, cost around £1400!

  15. So good they named it twice. Bought this last year in my MM phase and had a luthier adapt to active. It has a custom made Cat's Whiskers ceramic humbucker and Aguilar OBP-1 preamp. Nut is 38mm,sane as a jazz bass. Build quality is exceptional. Serial/Parallel on volume pull knob. FREE SHIPPING
  16. This is a rare punchy beast. Short scale active made in Japan in 2014.its effectively a very high quality, active Mustang variant. Featuring the John East jazz preamp, so it has full passive control, or epic active. In excellent all round condition. Currently wearing La Bella Deep Talkin strings. Can courier at cost.
  17. Rare bass, natural velvet is a factory satin over swamp ash. The neck is beautifully figured and the bass has just been luthier set up. It's been modded in the early noughties and is done really well. I had it upgraded from SD matched alnico Aguilar MM and supplementary J neck pickup. About as close as you can get to the original Stingray sound. There's an Aguilar preamp, I think it's OBP-2, with cut and boost on bass and treble, 2nd knob is blend. Comes with the Bass Direct mute kit for the thudders. I'm torn selling it but I have a Special, and a mongrel, plus a couple of Sterlings. It's an outstanding bass for the right player. Weight is a fantastic 8lb 7oz! It started out as a 3eq and was modded when I bought it. Plays fantastically and has added versatility. No offers but open to Sandberg trades, esp Lionel.
  18. Picked this up last year, already built. It has hipshot Ultralite tuners, Hipshot bridge, Aguilar AGP 60s pups and a Nordstrand 2 band preamp. It's a solid performer, sounds gigantic! GHS Precision Flats, 38mm nut. Home practice only, Minty!
  19. I'm having the same issue with an elderly Music Man HD500 amp. Tried the jack trick, whatever I do, signal goes through the preamp. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
  20. My tribute, or interpretation. I don't think the Take That tribute bands have Robbie Williams in.
