Got this brand new Hiscox case I bought for my Overwater J5. I ended up getting a custom leather case / gig bag for it. So the Overwater Hiscox case is brand new, still in original box. Not only that, but they feature the unique Hiscox Aluminium Valance - a double “lip” lid-to-base mating feature which increases the rigidity of the case whilst drastically reducing the risk of water ingress in rain/shower conditions, . The lightest case in the Hiscox range, the Liteflite structure has been designed to provide high shock absorbtion, utilising an outer shell of nominal 1.5mm thick ABS bonded to a Polyurethane inner moulding so that, on impact, the outer shell will "give" or progressively collapse, reducing the shock passed on to the instrument. The inner moulding is a semi-rigid, cellular foam bonded to the outside ABS shell and integral fabric to provide incredible structural rigidity. This unique foam moulding is actually created within the shell and achieves an absolute chemical bond to both the ABS and the internal cloth as it forms. The chemical bonding will not break down in normal use, thus maintaining the rigidity of the case for many years. This interior moulding is a type of polyurethane foam unique to Hiscox, NOT POLYSTYRENE! and gives excellent insulating protection against rapid temperature changes (i.e. aircraft hold). Inside the case, soft foam cushion padding has been fitted in key areas around the instrument (neck, horns, bridge) for extra shock protection. Selling my Bass Collection Portrait bass. Amazing fretless bass guitar for the money. I bought this bass for a week long run of theatre work playing God spell the musical in Oct 2019. Three songs out the pad needed fretless bass, so it’s had about 1 hour playing time on it since new. Condition is as new. I have owed a few Fender fretless basses & this sounds just as good if not better then the Mex versions etc. They are £500 new. I am asking £350 including a new Fender soft gigbag. I just finished a run in the theatre of Joesph the musical using the Overwater . . It performed perfectly! If I wasn’t getting another overwater bass I would defo keep this one.

Selling my 2007 Overwater Perception Delux Plus 5 string. Its been my main theatre work bass for the last few years, but I really want to get a Overwater Jazz 5. Stunning sounding bass which has never let me down. Best sounding B string I have ever played. Weight is 4.1kg. Sporting a fairly new set of Elixers put on when it received a recent setup and fret dress by McIntyre Guitars in Edinburgh. Bass is in Glasgow if anyone wants to try it out. Well so I thought too, but apparently the Flea bridges didn’t always have them. I was recently looking for a kit for it, but found out some interesting stuff about the Flea bridges not lining up with the strings, unlike the Trans bridges from SR’s of the same age. Maybe some of the MM buffs can chip in? @stingrayPete1977
