Allow me to introduce myself. I’m a 57yo kid (from the inside looking out) who has been trying to master the four stringed groove contraption for over 4 decades and still learning every day, and still feel like I’m blagging it! I have a Yamaha Silent upright bass that I use in a jazz trio, and have just taken ownership of an active Fender Precision with a view to play a standard bass in public again. Both basses are amplified through my Little Mark amp and cab. Now that I’m well past my mid-life-crisis years having a compact and lightweight setup is important to me and my aching bones Oh, and not not having to drive a school-run people carrier to cart a 3/4 upright acoustic around is also a big bonus! Anyway, that’s me in a nutshell, I look forward to chatting with you guys!
