  1. The tuner will need replacing/repairing as it has very little grip and the string will de-tune itself in a few minutes - no idea why as it just starting happening one day randomly. I can't seem to see what is wrong with it so I can't fix it. I'll take some photos and get them up in the next few days hopefully. You are welcome to come and try her out. Currently strung up with Fender nickel flats. There is no real damage to the actual bass - maybe a little scratch or two - nothing major though. Thanks for the interest!
  2. Any takers? if you are in Newcastle city centre let me know -you can come round for viewings and to try it out
  3. Thanks Tait. I've used this bass a couple of times in acoustic sets and it works a treat - shame I'm not much of a fretless player! If anyone is interested and is in the Newcastle-upon-Tyne area, you are welcome to come and try her out - just let me know.
  4. Thanks BurritoBass, its just Runwells though - there is no "the". We don't seem to believe in grammar! Its good to see another bassist from good ol' Stockton, Leftbass!
  5. For Sale: Crafter BA-400EQ Electro Fretless Bass - £160 ONO I have owned this bass for about a year and it has never got much use, which is a shame as it is a great piece of equipment. Unfortunately one of the tuners is damaged (will not keep in tune) and will need replacing. This should not cost very much to replace. I have fitted a thumb rest (which can probably be removed if needed) so you can rest your thumb like on an electric bass' pickups. Spec: Top : Spruce Back & sides : Ashwood Machine heads : Chrome diecast Position marks : Dot Controls : Timber PLUS PreAmp & Shadow pick-up Finish : Satin This bass currently retails for about £250 new & comes with a padded gigbag worth £15 so get yourself a good deal! Ideally pick up from Newcastle-upon-Tyne city centre, I would rather not post due to its delicate nature. Thanks for looking, Andy.

  7. Hi fellow bassists, I'm Andy, a long-time forum viewer who has just got round to signing up (partly because I need to sell off a lot of equipment to fund my first rig!). This forum has reinforced the idea that bassists are the level-headed and organised members of bands - which is fine with me! It seems like you have a great community here. I have been playing bass for about 4 years and guitar for about 6 (although I primarily play bass nowadays as it is superior to guitar!). I have played bass in various bands in the north-east of England, currently I am part of Runwells (terrible name I know) who are based in Newcastle and Hartlepool- www.runwells.co.uk I currently play a Fender Jazz MIM and an Eastwood Classic 4 through an antique Peavey keyboard amp with a single 18 inch speaker. My favourite bassists include Carlos D (Interpol), Sir Paul McCartney and John Entwistle. Take it easy, Andy.
