1. Im still not sure what to do. I will have to test both and see. I have a feeling I might get both!
2. Hi Guys n Girls, What do you think has a better sound a Barefaced Compact or a rs210? I am running a Markbass little iii and SR500. I love the sound of 4x10 with horns but i can only have one cab what do you recommend? Cheers,
3.
TC Electronics 210 cab/cover, and 212 cab/cover I have rediscovered 15" cabs, and although I really enjoy using my TC cabs, have reluctantly decided to sell them. I currently use my TC450 and Classic amps with a DR Bass 1580 cab, which I have to say is more me! (old fashioned and boring.....?) Anyway, I have a 210 cab in the original finish, which has been gigged a few times but is still in vgc, and a 212 cab in the newer finish, both with the manufaturers fitted covers. Ideally, I would like them to go as a pair, but will obviously sell individually. I would like please, £325 for the 210 and £375 for the 212 cab. Cheers, Bob
You have a PM
4.
Probably elixir strings mate.
That's cool. I will get a set of elixir's then and see what happens. I am still quite interested in the T-Midget if anyone has one. Cheers,
5. Hi Guys n Girls, Already own a Barefaced Compact running with a MarkBass little iii with an Ibanez sr500. But I feel like it really needs a bit more bite. Does anyone have a T-Midget that I could come round and listen to or borrow? I am in the greenhithe area. DA9 9JN. Also I got some new strings about 3 months ago and I am quite disappointed. They are Ernie ball slinkys and they have already lost there brightness. Does anyone know what stings the SR500 comes with as standard as they kept there brightness for like 3 years? Thank you Ben
6. So after many years and many rigs I have found my perfect setup. Markbass little iii (got it yesturday!) and a barefaced compact. The Markbass really brings this cab to life very loud, very clear and very low oh and one more thing very light! I am a very happy man
7. Cheers for getting back to me. I used to have a Peavey Firebass and that was 275 at 8 ohms. I had no problems with loudness. But say it wasnt what should i do? Cheers,
8. I have been offered an ampeg B2R bass head for £150, I do like the sound of the ampegs but I am worried it wont be loud enough with my barefaced compact being only 200watt at 8 ohm. Is it worth buying a power amp that does say 500watt into 8 ohm? I have no idea what brands to look for or what I should pay for one? Any suggestions would be a great help. Many thanks,

Hi Guys n Girls, I am playing the Monto Water Rats on Friday 18th December. I will be using my new Barefaced compact! Anyways we are playing along side a band call FRENZY some 1980s generated neo-rockabilly/psychobilly band. We are on at 11.00pm. Tickets from me are £6 or on the door £12. Cheers, Ben
18. Hi Alex, Seems like I have sorted the problem. The bass guitar needed setting up properly the action was way out. You have done a very good job with this cab. Sounds spot on and makes life so easy being so light. Cheers,
19.
Just to discount the possibility, when was the last time you changed your strings? And does this happen with both pickups together and or solo'd?
Hi there, I changed the strings about a month ago. As for the pickups alway have both pickups up full. I tryed it with my Stuart Spector NS-94 and it has the same problem. Cheers,
20. Hi Alex, I have got a BareFaced compact, peavey firebass head I play a Ibanez SR500 bass. I am not sure what the problem is but the E string sounds amazing A string sounds amazing but the D sting and G seem to lose volume and don’t cut though the mix. Turning up the treble doesn’t help. I never had this problem with the Trace Elliot 4x10 with horn. Maybe its the horn I am missing? Any ideas to what I am doing wrong. I am looking to replace the head next year prob with Markbass little iii. Will that help the problem as I understand VPF controls the high end? Cheers, Ben
