  1. Oh wow, yes!! So whoever wants a great JB-tone in a super-compact and light 6-string, go for it
  2. Thanks a lot for your kind comments! I totally agree: Sander is an amazing luthier! I really loved his own models. Back in the days at Musikmesse Frankfurt he introduced some spectacular instruments with a very unique design.
  3. I’m offering an absolutely outstanding 6-string De Gier bass, the signature model of Dutch top bassist Glenn Gaddum Jr. Having played Fodera for decades and Mattisson for several years, I can confidently say that this De Gier matches them in every aspect of quality. However, I’ve learned once again that I am simply not a Jazz Bass person—neither vintage nor modern. I bought this instrument a few months ago out of curiosity and was immediately impressed, but I'm sticking with my Mattissons, where I’ve truly found “my thing.” The previous owner described the bass perfectly, and I fully agree with every word: “Sound, responsiveness, tonal consistency across the entire fretboard, a perfectly integrated and powerful B-string, a silky, snappy C-string, stylistic flexibility (a true chameleon), a simple yet brilliantly executed control layout, very low action, and a neck profile to die for… all absolute top shelf. The craftsmanship: perfect!” Specifications Model: De Gier Bebop Glenn Gaddum Signature 6-string (custom slightly smaller body) Weight: Just under 4 kg (scale fluctuates between 3.9–4.0 kg) Woods: Alder body 3-piece maple neck Fingerboard: Light rosewood (custom, 6 mm) Dot inlays 22 small frets Hardware & Electronics: Black De Gier hardware MAMA pickups Vol / Vol / Tone Contour switch (push/pull) Fatboost Black-black pickguard Hipshot Ultralite tuners Finish: Body: Custom light silver-orange metallic, high gloss Neck: Satin String spacing: 17 mm Further information and the background story behind this signature model can be found on Sander De Gier’s website. https://www.degierguitars.com/basses/bb-glenngaddumsig/ https://www.degierguitars.com/basses/bb-glenngaddumsig/bbgs-philosopy/ Price & Condition New price: approx. 4635 GBP / €5,300 Asking : 3190 GBP / €3,650 Condition: Absolutely like new — no dings, dents, scratches, or signs of use. Essentially a brand-new instrument. Includes the original De Gier gig bag. Shipping is no problem (buyer pays shipping costs). The original De Gier shipping box is also available. Standard Disclaimer As required by EU regulations, I explicitly exclude any warranty for this private sale. This sale is made under exclusion of any liability for material defects. No returns.
  4. I’m selling an EBS TD660, one of my all-time favorite bass amps. It’s extremely versatile, powerful, dynamic, and built like a tank. This unit was my backup — I used to own two — and since I’ve switched to its successor, this one can go. The amp has very low playing hours and has been stored in a high-quality case from day one. I removed it from the case only for the photos: the condition is ultra-mint, without even the usual rack marks or scratches. Prefer local pickup, but shipping is possible, of course (at buyer's cost and risk). Price: GBP 743 / 850 Euro Private sale — no warranty, returns, or guarantees. Product Details The EBS TD660 is a highly flexible, powerful bass amplifier that blends tube, Mosfet, and solid-state technology. It delivers a very neutral and transparent tone, preserving the natural character of your instrument. It features a built-in compressor — the basis of the famous EBS MultiComp pedal — as well as a drive module with booster, capable of everything from warm overdrive to aggressive fuzz, always maintaining musicality. The drive module can also run directly through the preamp tube, creating warm, tube-style saturation. The intelligent 4-band EQ allows precise tone shaping. A notch filter removes unwanted frequencies (great for avoiding feedback), and the Character switch provides an instant mid-scoop. Additional features include a DI output with optional speaker simulation, tuner out, and an effects loop — making this amp an excellent choice for touring bassists or anyone needing reliability and tonal flexibility. Specifications Channels: 2 Power: 650 W @ 2 Ω; 540 W @ 4 Ω Impedance: 2 / 4 Ω Preamp tube: 1 × ECC83 Controls: Gain, Compressor/Limiter, Bass, Middle, Mid Frequency, Treble, Bright, Drive, Volume, FX Mix Switches: Character on/off Filter Active on/off Tube Mode on/off Boost Drive on/off DI pre/post EQ DI Speaker Simulation on/off DI Ground Lift on/off Phantom Power Input on/off Phantom Power Loop Return on/off Inputs: Instrument In (¼"), 2 × Footswitch In (¼"), Effect Return (¼") Outputs: DI Out (XLR), 2 × Speaker Out (Speakon), Tuner Out (¼"), Line Out (¼"), Effect Send (¼") Battery operation: Not supported Dimensions: 480 × 130 × 356 mm Weight: 12 kg
  5. You probably don’t need to say much about it… I’m a hardcore fan of Spencer’s 3 Leaf Audio pedals, but in my enthusiasm I ended up buying some pedals twice (why, actually!?). This one has only been sitting on the shelf; the previous owner attached Velcro to the bottom for mounting on a board, which I left on in case someone wants to use it that way. Very light signs of use, see pictures (the iPhone camera is so good that I probably should’ve dusted beforehand… ;). With this generation of the pedal, the lettering is known to flake off a bit, so these are definitely not “rock wear marks.” To my ears, the ultimate octaver: best tracking, fat, punchy, and especially with the fantastic Sub option for that typical Tim Lefebvre / Jojo Mayer Nerve sound. Price: 430 GBP / €490 including shipping (EU and UK). The usual stuff: Since the new EU regulation now provides for a 1-year warranty even for private customers unless the seller excludes it, I hereby declare that I do not assume any warranty for the items I sell privately within the meaning of the EU directive. The sale is made under exclusion of any liability for material defects. No returns.
  6. Razvan is a great guy!! I just traded a Fodera for another bass and some money. Everything went ultra-smooth and cool: Fantastic and fast communication, my bass arrived perfectly packed and in great condition. Happy to stay in touch with him. All thumps up! Great guy to deal with (and talk bass stuff as well :))!
  7. Cheers mate, thanks a lot for your comment! Totally agree!
  8. For me this is the holy grail of tube preamps and my "to go secret weapon" for any recording sessions. As I love this preamp so much I – for some reason – bought a 2nd one as backup. Of course that does not make much sense. The preamp is built ultra-solid and totally reliable (and does not move as it is just in my studio). Excellent condition, please check the pictures. Jule Porter says on the website: Monique Dove Cage Preamp, EQ, DI Product Details Monique is the all tube hand built preamplifier that has been making bass players smile for 10+ years. Monique is not only a beautiful DI and EQ. Monique is essentially the complete front end of a bass amp, without the power section. Sturdy enough, and small enough to get to the performance easily, Monique delivers the warmth and articulation that only an all tube bass amp front end brings." The preamp comes with power cable and a good (non-original) bag. The bag is a Mono. The preamp has some space in it. So certainly good enough for transport and shipping (with some bubble wrap). Asking: 1500,- Euro Location is Germany. Shipping on buyer's cost and risk is no problem.
  9. Hi! According to my – sligthly crappy – bathroom scale the bass weights 5.5 – 5.6 kg. So certainly not a light bass (and certainly not the heaviest Fodera 6 I had…). This bass has a very distinct and massive huge sound. So the mass somehow does its job The imperial design is very well balanced. So with a good strap also long gigs were no problem.
  10. Regarding the Millenia-Website: 20 lbs. My (slightly crappy) bathroom scale says: 7.1 kg (without rack ears)
  11. @three I just took some pictures of the rack ears. Yes, that looks indeed military-robust
  12. Cheers, thanks a lot guys! @three: Yes, indeed! I never installed the rack ears as I really dig the stand-alone design with the leather handle.
  13. As I need space and money for "the double-bass love of my life" I sell some real special stuff. Selling something very rare and special: Millenia TD-1 Studio preamp. Pretty much "as good as it gets" when it comes to state-of-the-art recording. Anthony Jackson used Millenia Preamps for years in his live rig. I used the preamp in my studio for bass recordings. But it is also excellent for almost any other instrument or vocals. Very flexable and versatile with the tube preamp and transistor preamp. Please check out the online reviews as I am pretty much a tech-dummy. Mint-condition, please check the pictures. The preamp never left my house. No transport, it was a permanent part of my studio signal chain. The preamp comes with power cable and rack ears. Asking GBP 1130 / 1350 Euro Shipping (at buyer's cost and risk) is no problem! The preamp is located in Germany. https://mil-media.com/td-1
  14. Some new pictures. Check this beauty out! Today in autumn light
  15. Cheers Marc, thanks a lot! and totally agree: the Fafner is such a great and iconic amp as well!
