1. thanks man. yes these old neck through, ebony, piezo yamahas are great basses indeed. i have strung e - c at the moment, and it sounds great that way.
2. sorry the burner is already gone
3. bass was on hold, but now back for sale bump
4. Up for sale is this Yamaha TRB5P that I just got in trade. Its a beautiful sounding and playing bass, but i think I prefer a string spacing thats less than 19mm. The Bass is in great condition, and the original hardcase is also there. Its the sought-after 90s neck through version, with the Piezos and Ebony board, and the 33 7/8 inch scale. I am asking 1100 Euros or best offer on this one. Might also consider a trade. Bass is located in Germany. e-mail me for questions or pics: [email protected]
5. I keep struggling whether or not i want to let go of this one, but this time i will put it up for sale. a few people have contacted me when i posted this for trade a couple of weeks ago, and since i cant remember who took interest in this bass first, i will post it here right away before contacting you again. so here we go again: has been one of my favorite basses, also cause I am a big Hadrien Feraud fan. The bass sounds awesome and playabilty is great with the tight spacing and low action. It is a 5 string Ken Smith Burner with a walnut/quilted maple body and a 5 piece maple and walnut neck. It is in great condition, the only thing worth mentioning is a mark in the laquer (not wood) on the upper part of the body. Case is included, as well as Hadrien Feraud's chops ;-) bass is located in Germany. Mail me for pics and soundclips ([email protected]) Price is 1350 Euros or nearest offer. thanks for looking.
6. a few interested but not enough, so 600 euros for this Pilot to fly your way.
7. weekend bump! (these are great and underestimated basses. I have a 4 string which I am keeping, and it was hard for me to decide whether I keep this Guild Pilot 5 or my Ken Smith Burner 5)
8. thanks for the info, thats it. and crazy chops btw.
9. hey thanks for your answer. 7mm? that would be rather tight ;-) maybe you mean 17?
10. hey whats the string spacing and is it adjustable?
11. For sale is this beautiful Guild Pilot 5 String: Specs are: Made in USA somewhere between 1986-87 Solid Flamed Maple Body Amber Burst Finish Maple Neck Rosewood Fingerboard EMG Pick ups Vol, Vol, Tone Control original guild hardshell case included The Bass is in great condition, only has a few little marks on the back and headstock, which I cannot really capture in pictures. One of the tuners is missing the black metal cover on the back of the headstock as can be seen in the pictures. This is only a very minor cosmetic issue. Also this Bass might have been a fretless in the past, but I bought as a fretted bass. I never noticed it but someone pointed this out to me, as the side dots are more like on the frets and not exactly in between. I just put on a set of fresh Daddario strings. It plays great with nice low action and has a very slim neck (feels like 17mm bridge spacing) for fast playing. I am looking for 800 euros or best offer for this Bass. I am willing to ship within Europe, bass is located in Germany. If you want more pics or have any other questions, just email me. [email protected] Thanks for looking.
12. great bass!! how was the bridge shifted? were there any new holes drilled etc.?
