  1. i,m going too pull this until i have decided what too do. Thank you all for your interest. Couldn't sleep last night. Mrs was snoring, dog was farting. Might have been the other way round🤔.

Turns out it was a very easy fix (the bass, not the farting), no re drilling needed. 1.8 mil tapered ash veneer. Neck pockets snug now and everything is thunderously fine.  Thinking i,d go too bass hell if i split a working bass....

  2. Picked this Avenger II up with a poorly fitted status jazz neck with the intention of sorting it out myself. Will no doubt regret not doing so.

Enfield avenger II fully loaded body:

    2 piece ash body

    Sims quad custom pick ups

    Badass 2 bass bridge

    Glockenlang 3 band eq (Stacked)

Quality bass body fitted with the sims pick up system that cycles pick up config through single coil/split coil and humbucker with 2 switches.

Badass ll bridge and glockenlang 3 band stacked eq.

One little scuff near the jack input.

These things retail for silly money, grab any neck and you have saved a fortune.

Sale is for the loaded body only Thanks...

    Free postage.

    Please ask for any info.

If you take the time to read the post I back up my “personal” claim. Everyone’s different and have different tastes.

I have found some of the comments in the post quite educational though! 👍

Quite right...... Peoples personal opinions, needs and tastes are allowed.

Awful lot of brothers that didnt quite grasp that what you said, and that it was not an attack. Just a preference.

I fully agree with what you said.

No matter what I try. I lose "my sound" when i add volume in a way i dont with my non class d amps. And i would rather personally lump around the extra weight for peice of mind on stage.

  4. Had an old original schecter cv4. (metalic rick red, white MM pick guard, duncan designed pups) Passed it on too cheap, too a struggling bassist after i got a result on my 1st german thumb for 480.

Turned out them old schecter,s were far better basses than my thumb. I,ve hunted that thing for 10 years 😂. I d give 1000 for that bass right now 😂😂😂

These look great tbf. Fingers crossed for a pj

Does anyone have a remedy for hand cramps?  I used to sometimes get cramps after a gig, but it's been getting steadily worse over the last couple of years.   It's now at the stage where I can't make it through a set of more than about an hour and a half without a hand spasm that stops me playing.

I've tried regulating my salt intake, taking potassium supplements, drinking more water (even when playing a beer festival FFS!)

I need a fix or I may just have to stop playing - or worse I may even have to swap to bass guitar.

I,ve suffered with hand cramps for 20 years. Unfortunately there,s different degrees of this. If yours is akin too mine then its not so treatable. I find i can now only play jazz necks and absolutely no 5 strings. Had to sell my loved p bass last week after trying again.

Its the stretch between your thumb and 1st finger at certain angles with applied pressure that causes it. I just find a thin neck cuts this angle down across the smaller surface area. Maybe consider a short scale. Really hope you find a solution too this......

Traditionally the bass is the bridge between the rhythm and the chords. There's nothing wrong with that. Tradition is a good thing, but bass doesn't always have to be pigeon holed.

If you're any good you make your own boxes and if you are even better you make boxes irrelevant.

It's all up to the player.

    Absolutely..........

In the 9mths i've experienced 3 that have been poor or just not quite there with the sound. They're usually at venues doing lots of different styles of bands so maybe its just that they dont do many punk or 70's Glam Rock cover bands or maybe i'm being too much of a critic. The gigs have all gone down well so its maybe just from my own perspective on stage or from vid clips that i'm noticing things. Its hard to tell from phone vids as the recording quality isn't usually that good anyways but i have gone out front at sound checks and had to tell SE to adjust levels. Guitarist also had to do it on occasion.

100% my point and and the driving factor for my life long battle with the "bass players box" that is auto asigned, as if it was wrote into the 10 commandments. That also extends too studio,s also.... Too many accept these limitations imo.

Bass must always be the foundation, but foundations come in many different designs which inherently form the shape of the building.

Theres a place for square boxes and music should be never be one of them.

I can honestly say we have never played in a place with a house P.A. We have always had to lug our own gear about.

Very overated. Most soundman are absolute bass hating ladyboys. Only one step up the evolutional ladder from wedding dj,s 😉😂😂😂
