1. In my experience, it's the done thing to use the headline act's drum kit (except cymbals, snare and pedals) and bass gear. I always try to check with the bassist beforehand, if I can't contact him then I'll take mine as a precaution and ask him on the night. Never had a problem. I always ask regards mucking about with EQ and such and always, always, always buy him a pint. It's the Bristol way! :)

  2. I sold Tim my Ampeg Cab t'other week and it was a pleasure dealing with the guy. He drove all the way up to Bristol with cash in his wallet and bought the cab on trust as I didn't have a head for him to try it out with. Totally nice bloke and no fussing about.

Two out of my last three basses I've acquired by straight swaps (thanks ELJJ and Molan!) and it's a great way of releasing GAS without spending dosh in the here and now.
Only trouble is, got nothing left to swap now! Take my wife ..........please (Aythankyew....... )
I'm trying to get into the swapping market..It looks like fun! trying to swap my Spector Euro 4 for a Fender P-bass

    Anyone?

  5.
Definitely not the answer.... you probably won't enjoy Her Majesty's nick Barlinnie at all :)
I wasn't advocating any physical violence or criminal activity. Just a 'friendly' escorting to the nearest cashpoint to make the thieving git pay his dues!

  6. I'm looking to swap my spector for a Fender P-bass of equal value.

I paid £1000 for this Spector. It's a Euro 4 LX, Ultra Amber, Thru-neck, maple with a rosewood board. Schaller tuners/strap-locks. Pump pre-amp, EMG pup's. Brass nut/Bridge. It's got a few tiny dings coz it's been out there working it's ass off!

This bass sounds amazing, it has massive tonal range.

Might also be willing to sell at the right price, but would prefer the trade option.

Here's a few pics. I'll take some more when I can find my camera! (I reckon the cat's hidden it)

  7.
Cheers,

Will probably give a call later but cant while I am at work and just wanted to see if it was an option for friday. I am planning it today and It was either bass direct and warwick castle or west midlands safari park, I think we have a winner and its bass related!
Warwick have a castle? is that where they build their basses?

  8.
Good tune and those first bars are a great break, used by DJ Muggs in Cypress Hill if I recall correctly.

The bass part is pretty free, as the previous poster, said so I'd get some basics down then suit yourself. Good luck!
The bass part certainly is free, there's even a massive bass bummer half way into the track....love it!!
