Love my EDB600, been my only bass for the last 11 years and feel no need for anything else as it does everything I need very well. Plus they have lovley slim necks if thats your thing. I still have no idea what luthite is though!!

Yea he is a great drummer, puts the rest of us to shame! Unfortunatley though he is 60 now and retiring so wants to spend more time with his function bands that earn him cash which is fair enough. So we are going to have to start searching for a replacement

Thanks for the welcome! No i'm not a music reader, ive always been a kind of wing it person! I have tried but got confused quickly! lol I think i may start having a read through the majors bootcamp, seems to be alot of helpful info in there.

Thanks for the positive comments its much appreciated. Yep we def need to splash some cash and get someone who knows what they are doing to do the recording! We only really did it just to see how things were sounding before going further with the recordings so just left the 4 track running for the night, and some of them didnt turn out to bad. Certainly helps your hear which bits are a bit dodgy! I'll dig some more out if anyone is interested in hearing them.

Hi all, been a long time lurker so thought id better actually post something!!! This forum has been a massive help with all the information here, but unfortunatley has given me bad GAS (so to speak!). Anyway, been playing bass for 11yrs after switching from guitar when our band was short a bass player and never looked back. Currently playing with an orginals band called Panic Rising. I'll upload some rehersal recordings when i work out how!! Playing an Ibanez EDB600 through a Trace Elliot 7215smc combo at the moment, although GAS is building for something new!
