the only Englehart Ive played had a totally different feel to my Kay , really strange considering its all the same jigs/ tools used to make both.

go to his youtube channel and watch the Beat It video, wow.

got mine a few days ago, raised the action a bit and screwed the vibrato down so its solid. having a few tuning stability issues so going to try heavier guage strings and see if that helps, love it though.

Blast Cult basses are pretty special - they're a modern version of the old King basses much beloved of touring rockabiily bands in the 50s and 60s.
If you're playing rockabilly, bluegrass or counrty type stuff then a high-end ply is a much better choice than a solid wood bass.

dont be fooled by the name , the King company which morphed into Blast Cult had nothing to do with the old King Moretone company which folded many years earlier -

if you are the sole driver then you call the shots as to where and when the band go, I think they need to see things from your perspective a bit more.

Since the majority of the world's best luthiers fit adjusters to their instruments, I wouldn't say they are a bad idea, but they are tricky to install correctly. As previously mentioned it does look like the bridge adjusters aren't fitted straight. There shouldn't be a problem with having adjusters on your instrument though if they are installed correctly.

just noticed the adjusters, having recently only come across them myself I can definetly say what a bad idea they are from a design aspect .
I will be getting a solid bridge replacement asap.
It will certainly be a contributing factor to the original problem.
dont care what anybody says about how well theyre fitted makes all the difference, the design of them is fundamentally poor. -
the underside of the bridge should be 90 degrees to the top of the bass, the photos look as though the bridge tapers to the top evenly from topside and underside.

bridgewood and Neitzer used to sell the Rev Solo,
I think theyre the online shop for London Violins, they may have old stock. -

I can't see the issue.
They sent you an item you didn't pay for, and you're exchanging it for the item you did pay for.
It's not costing you anything to return either.

it isnt a biggie , your quite right, merely an annoyance I couldve done without at the end of a crap day.
This was the best place to have a moan as the wife wasnt in the slightest bit giving a damn. -
