It suits me to the ground on paper. Does a “Vintage” sound, has a single footswitch that runs off an instrument cable so I can easily swap it on my board when I use my Fender Super Bassman. 

The DG is for band prac and those shows where I’d be loading my gear on my own. 

I’d be able to show up to shows with my bass(es) and a Peli 1510.

I've thought about getting a Tone Hammer and a Catlinbread SFT. I'm finding the Darkglass stuff too modern for the band I'm in. Although I really like the Pike Vulcan version.

I'm looking for a spare head that I can also use when space is tight.

Any favourites?

My string thru Fender P has loads of sustain which I like, also my compressor adds a little to it. It does play a role as much as shorter notes in my playing. One song in particular totally relies on sustained notes. So having string thru and hi mass bridges certainly help. 

I have Hipshot Kickass saddles fitted to my Badass II on my '86 MIJ Fender P. It's class. I opted for brass saddle inserts. You move them sideways and they lock in place. They're also cut quite deep so you won't need as much of a shim as you would with a Badass. I sounds amazing and it's engineered really well with good materials.

I really like D'Addarios. I currently use Dunlops (because I get them cheap) but I'd like to hear their Superbrights.

yup. 

I’d say a Les Paul is more of a model base and not a signature (anymore) because of the amount of variations.

my example is Gibson Trini Lopez and Dave Grohl’s DG335

You can’t blame Fender for putting this out there. I’m not a RHCP but this is something different for Fender.  Yes it has a MM pickup but that’s why it’s a more worthy signature model than Flea’s Jazz. I’m not sure why Ernie Ball didn’t offer him something (maybe they did) but Fender were smart to get him as an artist. 

So the red Jag bass with the string through is a prototype. Shame Fender couldn’t be arsed to photograph a production one and I think it also shows that they’re rushing things through. Hence the shoddy QC

I’ve noticed a mistake. On the Jag bass page. The bass had a normal top loading BBoT bridge but then the specs/features section shows a hi-mass string thru bridge. 

I looked again. It’s only the Sonic Red that shows the hi-mass bridge. All colours are the same price. 

So are they chinese?

also I like the sage green. 

Although prefer jag basses with jag control plates.

I literally posted it because I knew what would happen hahaha. 

Just to wade in. I like relic’d basses but the older I’ve gotten, the more bands I’ve worked for looks are almost last on my list, they’re tools to create music and if you spend enough time playing everything else becomes more important. 

Saying that. A cool looking bass is a cool looking bass. 

One hell of a pedal. I’ve not used it for a while now. As we all know they’re no longer in production.
