  1. I've played I think 8 Ritters in my time both 4&5 strings. ALL have played, felt and sounded amazing. If i had the money I would have no issue justifying the price as I know the effort that goes into these instruments and you can see the quality in the end result. If you are looking at £4000-5000 price range for a Ritter think, you could not get a new Fodera for that.

As for where I would use it, anywhere really. Maybe if i was in a really high quality tribute act I may think twice.

  2. I've been following the development of the Monique on talkbass alot to. I really dig the amount of versions available for such a small company it looks like ALOT of thought and user feedback has gone into this.

The price is in the higher end of things but I looks like you really are getting what you pay for, quality. As for tone it's been getting only good feedback and is very versital and would suit most styles.

I would love to get my hands on one and give it a try, and if i liked it I would pay the price. Stick this on top of a micro head into the effects return BOOM fat tone with a great DI, also you would still have the option of the micro head if you wanted:)

  3. Is anyone using 2 midgets as a modular rig? I know a compact and midget are a popular modular rig. But I would like to know what you think. Do you think this set up would take a low A with out farting out at high(ish) volumes?

  4. At the moment this is just an idea and have no plans to make it happen(yet). So as with riks and yamaha attitude ltd's you can have mono or stereo outputs. I love the idea of running two rigs one main one for clean then a smaller second one for drive and fx's. But what I've been finding is IMO passive basses work just a little bit better with overdrive/distortion and some other effects then active basses(not all though). But I really like active basses for the cleaner side of things as I can have more control.

So what I was thinking of was one pup wired passive that would go to the overdrive/distortion then one wired to an active circuit going to the clean amp. Would like to hear what you guys think of this idea, I know it's nothing new just playing around with an existing idea.

Also there would be a mono option.
