I should have said 'buy mine' - it's up on for sale at the Gallery now (and I'm sure that Alex will do you a deal!) - it's a lovely bass but the board is a little too wide for me
If it's the one on the web site - I did give it a play when I was at the gallery and was very tempted (beautiful instrument), but am somewhat hooked on something like http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=356567 and also would be interested in maybe getting it hooked up for MIDI as I have an Axon AX100 I use with one of my guitars. Be nice to trigger it from bass if this works well enough.
 2. Beautiful instrument ! The Sei's are really top class. I was looking at them a fair few years ago but at the time a lot were headless and I just couldn't get on with a headless. But a couple of weeks ago I bought a 5-string Jazz fretless (second hand) from the bass gallery and have been so impressed with the quality, sound and playabillity of this instrument. I just love playing it to the extent that it's difficult to put it down. Now I want to get a single cutaway 6 string built - I'm hooked I love that shallow bolt on design you've got there !
Hi and welcome to the Surrey contingent of Basschat, there are a number of Jam nights around the Guildford area so no excuse for not getting out, dusting off the basses and re-creating your lost youth!
Hi and thanks for the welcome. Jam nights sound great, are dates/venues posted anywhere ?
 5.
Welcome, enjoy BC and glad to hear those fine instruments are seeing daylight and action!
Many thanks for the welcome.
 6.
That's a lot of strings! Welcome purpleblob (haven't we already got one of those...?) Chris
Thanks for the welcome. With regards all the strings - my intention was to get rid of the Wilkes, Warwicks and Conklin and replace with the Sei and Overwater (the Wal will never leave me ). The problem is I find it so difficult to get rid of anything As for other purpleblobs - we do get around
 7. Hi there, I've been lurking (I know it's a nasty habit) for a while, but after enjoying myself reading the conversations on various forums and viewing the various gear porn on the site I thought it was about time to de-lurk. So it seems usual to give a little intro. so here goes... I'm an old git who loves bass but hasn't played in a band for many MANY years. Used to play in heavy rock bands back in Leeds and North Yorkshire (way back in the mid to late 80's), moved South to near Guildford in Surrey (I'm a southerner by birth) where I played (sort of) Pop/Jazz Funk(ish) music. After years of beating my head against a wall trying to getting a stable band, gig's, deals etc. gave up playing to start a family and get a "proper" job. Been playing just for my own enjoyment over the last few years but recently started playing a bit more seriously again after a friend (the guitarist in my last band) started pushing me to pick up an instrument with the intention of maybe putting together a small band again or at least have some jam sessions Gear wise. I have the honor to own a Wal Custom 4 string (without doubt one of the best basses ever made), a Warwick 6 string fretted and 6 string fretless (I cannot recall the models), an old Wilkes 4 string fretless with slap plates (err yes, nice idea but it's rarely played). A 7 string Conklin (not a US one but fun nevertheless) and more recently I bought a beautiful 8 string Overwater and a Sei 5 string fretless Jazz bass (both are real class instruments) and I have a whole lot on non-bass related bits and bobs (I'm a hoarder). Currently have a 4x10 Trace Elliot cab with a really old Yamaha head. But been playing mostly through headphones nowadays (using a bass pod). Although have just ordered a Genz Benz shuttle just in case I get out of the house (as I doubt I can lift the old 4x10 now ). Anyway, sorry that "little intro." ended up being longer winded than intended. But thanks for a great site and a lot of fun reads from various people and forums.
