1. I thought I had a need for very strong fuzz and it seems the only thing I need was GAS satisfaction. It's gone and fuzz needs to go too.

This is quite strong guitar fuzz, but in some cases it could be used for bass too with quite a success! To achieve good result you need to a) either have a bass with strong output or :) play fast, ideally with pick or c) play electric guitar in death metal / grindcore band. I tried it with my jazz like bass and when I was playing with fingers it worked, but not that great. Picking quick notes was much better option with way better results. It has cool feature of blend knob which obviously blends fuzz with clean signal. Works with classic 9V battery or adaptor.
There is short clip on guitar (by the creator): http://youtu.be/HM51yO2Yy6o

  2. What are all the controls? Description seems a bit out, since there are 4 single knobs, 1 stacked and 1 switch... Also the bridge looks like it has 5 instead of 4 saddles ;-)

  3. Well, I have probably a silly question (asked elsewhere), but did anybody here try Maestro FZ-1S Superfuzz on bass? Doesn't need to be the original, copies experience welcomed too. I'm asking because I can have it's clone for what seems a reasonable price to me so I wonder if somebody tried it...

I had the very same bass in black. Awesome bass, which I still miss after those years... I think "punchy" is absolute truth in description!

  5. My mind moved and I ordered custom pickups two weeks ago. They are single coils and they should have a bit more aggresive feel in them then current split Nordstrands.
    Here they are:

No more info yet, need to install them to find out if they play as good as they look :-)
