Yes!
I love that colour... one day I'll get round to getting a NAMM 100th

I wouldn't pay more than £1,000 - £1,100 for a stripped 86... then I'd get it refinished Inca Silver.

Having read this thread...
... it's fairly clear that the OP isn't happy.
It's also not too difficult to find the band on youtube. I genuinely find the music enjoyable, but I would say that marketing themselves as The *** ********* Band is a mistake (censored in case OP doesn't want it to be googleable). The singer/guitarist isn't exactly a dominating presence. His voice is reasonable in a band setting, but not mind-blowing. His rhythm playing is good but his soloing is basic (maybe the video was done on an off day?). His name also doesn't scream "rock star".
Solid bass playing by the way!

Re the PA... is it insured? Does the insurance cover its use in your absence?

A mirage, maybe..? An optical illusion caused by refraction of the atmosphere due to the equatorial temperatures..? No..? Oh well...
It's possible, but Bangwesi looks exactly like that and is normally visible.

It rises to just under 6000 m, though.
(... and in the song, it's the Serengeti that he's seeking, not the real Serengeti. Poetic license, anyone..? Pedants, the lot of you..! )
Given that Kilimanjaro is 5895 m above sea level, the elevation of the Serengeti is at a minimum 920 m, and the equatorial radius of the earth is 6378 km, the furthest theoretical distance it could be seen is 252 km. We're about 70 km short.

...never mind that Kilimanjaro doesn't rise above the Serengeti.

The name change would have been the breaker for me.

Watch Robbie Shakespeare for a masterclass on playing with the thumb.

Didn't end well.

Yep... it was Bovinehost who gave it the nickname. The Dudepit was an interesting forum...

The serial number dates the neck plate at 1960-61 and the neck, if original is 87-91 when they changed to the 6 bolt neck. The pickups will be 1990ish to 95
It's certainly interesting
The neck is late 87 (that style of headstock logo introduced then) to early/mid 89 when the bullet truss rod bolt was replaced with the capstan at the body end. The neck is gorgeous.

"For everybody's information, other major brands of guitars and basses are manufactured in a number of OEM factories. This huge OEM factories deal with more 10 brands under 1 factory alone. There are higher risks for quality to be low within that process, but we at Sire Guitars choose not to accept any OEM orders as this can greatly affect our high standards for quality control. (By the way, we had been offered to make guitars and basses for some of the top notch brand that everybody is aware of but we refused to do this.) "

The Sire Story link is slightly vague on a few points... the CEO is Kyle Kim, and the company is an offshoot of his company Dame guitars. Dame are apparently big in Korea but couldn't break the international market, so they opened Sire in the US.

I'd say they're pretty much rebranded Dames...

Aye my mistake, was going by a TB thread over the weekend. $30k is mental. I bought a 3 bed house for £25k back in 01 :-)
Especially as it looks like crap.

That's how it is with me too. I seem to be able to recall melodies or even the sound of a voice quite easily.
But I'm useless at remembering how many films end; even if I've seen them a couple of times before. I'm not great at remembering faces either, so I'd be a lousy witness in court if I was required to identify someone - especially if several weeks or months had passed since the incident.
Interesting.
Would you rather go to a museum or library, or to a party? Serious question...

Hundreds... thousands maybe. Been doing it a long time and once they're in my head they tend to stay there.
One thing to bear in mind is that people think in different ways. I can remember patterns, numbers and music really well but I cannot remember visual things.
