Might be worth asking for a pic tho you never know -
Played this bass ,it's very nice, lovely slim neck
EDIT; Actually i've played two Les Evans basses and they were both quality builds -
Bought some strings from Andy ,excellent friendly deal+great strings too, many thanks

Sennheiser do a cheaper version of their excellent HD25's for around that price.I think the only difference is the cable doesn't detach like the more expensive version/or they're not completely modular. Think they might be called HD 25 SP.
Definiteley check them out -
Walplayer : thank you. how long ago did you sell the AFR ?

Think about a year ago. The saman wood on mine was boring compared to yours though!!
I also had a 304 that was excellent too. -
He asked (publicly) for an opinion on his price I found it unreasonable (to me) and like others gave him a different figure.
However, if someone posts a bass for sale with a solid price (Not asking for an opinion) and someone criticises the price in public then that could be a warnable offense.
Sold my 5 string afr 105 for £780 .They're a quality handmade instrument and light as a feather on a strap.
The bit's on the control cavity are individual piezo gain controls.
Good luck with the sale! -
Hey MikeyD can't believe you're selling this!!!!!!!
Bit more info if it helps ;
Top is a non original spruce replacement ,this and the neck fix were done by a builder/repairer named Thomas Alexander from Newcastle and were done around 1959/60.He told the person that bought it from him it was a turn of the century student instrument. Can't remember what he said the fingerboard was ,was either painted beech or maple.
Good luck with the sale is a nice instrument. -
+1 what a c***!
But definitely no need for anyone to feel a mug!!
If there is a positive side to all this ,imo it's that there's been some great points made about dyslexia etc.
Maybe a whip round for a relevant charity would end it all (not a pun!) nicely while everyones attention is on this. -
Platon from Greece bought a pedal from me ,had his friend over here pick it up,all good, recommended and thanks Platon!!

I've dealt with Stuart twice he's the toppest of top blokes!! Highly recommended cuppa too :-D
Is the fretboard coated? it looks shiny for ebony or ebanol. Are there any grooves in the fretboard surface?
Not much string marks if thats what you mean ...and the string marks that are there polish out.Yeah i think is ebonol as mentioned earlier up the thread. Come try it out if you're interested. -
There's 2 companies making them. The site that you've linked to is the cheaper Korean version. Here's the Japanese site.

If you search around they've got a gallery of the custom orders that they've made. This one's an 86 that I'm selling
Surprised they still make them as I haven't seen one for years.
Just checked their website though (www.tuneguitars.com) and they make quite a few different models.
Prices seem pretty reasonable too...
The seller hasn't stated whether it has a neck or not. For that reason, I'd be wary.

now that you mention it ,he hasn't said it has a body either
