That’s surely the most expensive way to buy a bass?
There are several 'two for one' package deals available nowadays, especially if you use mail-order. You can get both delivered at the same time.

There's an old proverb about this:
"When one has selected new bass, one must select new wife."
Wipe the slate so to speak.

You need to consider your star sign and see which one aligns with it really, if you should choose unwisely, Uranus could be spun into consternation.

I think Blur and Damon Albarn in particular were irritated by the constant Beatles comparisons made with Oasis, I think they might have set out to wilfully disprove the comparisons. Certainly he was quoted to have said of Beetlebum "I want Noel to acknowledge it is...closer". I think he's right.
There's definitely a Macca vibe on the bass too. All in all one of their standout tracks for me and a deserved no.1
I believe Oasis may have been the subject of the term, though the song is mostly about heroin use:
"And when she lets me slip away
She turns me on then all my violence is gone
Nothing is wrong
I just slip away and I am gone..." -

I've never had a 5 or 6 string without the problem with the low B string. The heavier the gauge the worse the problem gets.
Agreed. I've found the further up the neck, the more the timbre changes and the more overtones. The B is designed to be more efficient at lower frequencies obviously.

I agree with chris_b above, the thumb should act as a pivot, the angle of which you can adjust for what you are playing.

Instantly release the finger/s behind the one you are fretting with. No need to keep the stretch.

A clear conscience is the softest pillow, do you still happen to have a pillow to sleep on?

A bass is always going to be a problem to move in one piece. Take the neck off, and do it in two inconspicuous trips. Once inside, reassemble and hide it behind the others. If you get caught out in the open with it, I'm afraid gas-lighting is probably the best resort. Tell her you've had it for years.

Remember that blue ones sound middy, and the red ones sound bassier.

A Jazz bass with a ramp, something not to weighty. I've spent thousands trying to find something that wasn't a Jazz bass but sounded like a Jazz bass. When I should have just bought a Jazz based bass.

I wouldn't just look to bassists, take this for instance, tune your E down to D and try it...

Nathan Watts with Stevie Wonder for one. He had an education in music but he had only played bass for around two years before he got the call.

Red does a lot for highlighting the grain, blue looks too washed out.
