3. I'm putting both my basses up for sale cos I can't decide which one to keep. When one sells, I'll withdraw the other. This is a truly amazing bass, German built and up there in the top 3 of all the basses I've ever owned including USA Laklands, Shukers, Spectors, you name it. It's 34" scale and plays like butter - very versatile with 3 humbuckers. It has a series/parallel switch, bass/treb/mid and pick up selector. Pull the volume pot and you have a passive bass. It has a gorgeous maple neck - body is red alder. Loxx straplocks fitted. 4. Im putting both my basses up for sale cos Im not sure which one to sell. As soon as one of them sells, the other will be withdrawn. First up is my 2008 Am Std Jazz in Blizzard Pearl with RW board. As far as I can see its unmarked and in lovely condition. It sounds like a Jazz should. The only blemish is that you can see where the sticker was on the pickguard but its very faint and seems to be fading with time. Ive fitted Loxx straplocks but still have the originals which are included. Comes in the new Fender tank-like case which is in vgc. I dont want to post it so will meet / may deliver. 5.
Thanks Alan. I hope you're well
Hope you and your family are well too. I'm currently recovering from hip replacement surgery enjoying 6 weeks away from work. Not enjoying daytime telly though, keep getting an urge to sue someone
6. Staggeringly good basses these, I have a fantastic Avenger 5 Custom, probably the best bass I've ever owned. Have a bump on me hombre.
7. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Friend can't make it so if anyone's interested in going, PM me for details. Shazzam.
8. I had a 750 for a while but I was constantly knob twiddling trying to find a sound I liked. I couldn't find one so I sold it. Well made piece of kit though.
9.
Hi, I have a 2008 American Standard Jazz Bass in Blizzard Pearl, bought new this year, rarely played, perfect condition, hard shell case, case candy, would definitely be interested in straight swap for this, mine is also currently for sale for £750.
Let me chew that over Dave
10.
Alien acosutic? Straight swap? And I will be coming to Manchester in the near future!
Not for me but thanks anyway Telebass
11. Bought this new 6 months ago and it's as new and unmarked, it has the Custom Shop pick ups. It comes in the super duper Fender case which is also immaculate. I've replaced the tort pickguard with a nice parchment jobby made by our own Bass Doc but I'll chuck the original tort one in at the asking price. I've also replaced the straplocks with the excellent Loxx ones - you can have the originals too. Why am I selling, truth is it's too old skool for me and too far away tonally from my hi-fi Clover to act as a back up bass. I'd trade for a nice Jazz, Ray, Sterling or similar but whatever it is, it must by in excellent condition. Prefer 4 strings but 5 is ok too - cash adjustment either way. I don't want to ship so will drive a fair distance to meet or deliver. Sorry about the formatting, there's something odd going on with posts. 12. Well guys, something strange just happened. I popped another battery in - it made no difference and it was still quiet. So I started flicking switches and rotating knobs even though it had no effect when I twiddled them at the gig. I rotated the pup blend knob and there was a small click and hey presto, back to normal volume. It sounds completely normal now, I've sent an email to Jorg at Clover, I'll post his reply. Thanks fellas.
13. Cheers mate - it sounds as good as it looks. Build quality is staggering.
14. Clover Avenger Custom Chris.
15. It's got 3 pick ups Andy and moving the selector switch made no change to the volume....weird
16. Bugger me, I think it's my bass! Just tried it through my Tascam BT and it's really quiet active and passive. Jack socket maybe?
17. Taking it 'round to my mate Dave Perry's house tomorrow, he's going to some diagnostics
18. The only thing I have in my chain is a tuner and that was the first thing I disconnected cos I thought the battery may have gone flat.
