1. Hi guys Bought this off basschat a few months back, think I used it once but have a new rig now. Excellent condition, great lightweight cab. £300, collection preferred (Rochester, Kent) will send at buyers expense MARKBASS TRAVELER (TRAVELLER?) 102P 4OHM Best, Rich Coughlan
2. just very quickly made these sound clips (bass straight into Logic, no eq or presets added) first is both pickups on, conventional jazz bass tone but with a bit more oomph (EBS preamp!) http://files.me.com/richardcoughlan1/tkfe8q.mp3 second is just the bridge pickup for Jaco-esque tones http://files.me.com/richardcoughlan1/llgx3i.mp3 did these in a bit of a hurry, if there's any other sounds you'd like to hear let me know and I'll try and sort it asap. The preamp is very versatile and can pretty much configure whatever you like! Best Rich
3. changed the link, hopefully pic will work fine for people now. may post a few sound clips of this bass if i get chance this afternoon. Best, Rich
4.
Awesome! gotta be one of the most versatile basses I've seen, only way you could possibly improve it is 4 more frets but who goes up that far anyway. Flawless.
You're very correct mate. Will post some more pics tonight
5. Hey Guys, FOR SALE: Fender American Jazz 5 String, upgraded by Bernie Goodfellow (GB Guitars) with EBS pre-amp, Nordstrand split coil pickups and re-spray (tobacco sunburst). Would say its pretty much almost as new condition. These basses cost 1000 new, and I spent 600 upgrading it 2 months ago. Selling for £1000. In London if anyone wants to come and check it out... Get in touch if you have any q's, have more pictures also if you're interested. All the best, Rich Coughlan [email protected] 07752 030 910

7. Hi guys, I'm selling an upright bass, details below: its a solid 3/4 size flat back bass made by Musikinstrumentenfabrik built in Romania believe it to be approx 40 years old fitted with a David Gage Realist pickup currently with a set of spirocores on it supplied with a really decent soft case I bought the bass for £1400 and the case for £250 a couple of years back. Would like £1300 for the bass and case together. Anyone interested? Im looking to get hold of a Yamaha SLB 200 (yamaha's electric upright bass), so would except trades along those lines (probably with some cash going you're way, depending on condition) Feel free to get in touch if you have any queries. Thanks, Rich Coughlan
8. clips may have not been working, they are now fixed. http://www.richardcoughlan.com/Site/ACGDemos.html
9. just quickly ran the bass through logic and recorded some clips forgot to turn the gain up on my interface so they're a little quiet, you'll need some headphones with the preamp and coil switching theres literally hundreds of tones, i just selected some that I feel are "standard" bass sounds http://www.richardcoughlan.com/Site/ACGDemos.html Rich
10. no trades i'm afraid, reason for selling is requirements have changed and don't have the space time to play it as i'm only playing fender jazzes and ps right now. trading for another bass would defeat the object i guess. ive just got the bass out of the case to do these sound clips and im really gutted to be letting it go, its such a nice instrument to play and i hope you'll agree (in about 20 mins).......
11. bass is a 33" scale length, spacing is just shy of 17mm at the bridge some people have requested some sound clips, which im just about to record and will then post them on my site
12. Hi Guys My ACG Finn Single Cut arrived less than a month ago, plays great and I know Alan was particularly pleased with it. However, my circumstances have changed since ordering the bass and now all I really require is Fender passive basses. I wish I had the space/time to play this bass, but would rather see it go to a home that would give it the playing it deserves. I modelled the spec on a kind of hybrid Fordera Imperial Matt Garrison, with a bit of Fender jazz Full details and more pics here http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Gallery/210/ If you have any questions please get in touch, [email protected], or PM me I think £1400 (very near offers) is a fair price for this quality of instrument. I'm sure all the ACG owners out there will confirm that Alan is a very skilled builder, and I know orders aren't currently being taken so this would be ideal for anyone out there who wants an ACG but can't stand the wait! Thanks Rich Coughlan

19.
Gorgeous mate Last weekend has not helped my ACG GAS one bit and you're not helping much either Not long now, you must be excited... Eude
Haa, I keep having a peak at the pictures of your finn s/c and that's not helping me much either! Very excited. Just started reading up on the pre-amp and its suddenly occured to me just how many sounds I should be able to get out of it, especially with the coil switching in both magnetic pups, and then there's the piezo also! Hours of fun!
20.
I'm pretty certain I saw this one when I was up in Alan's workshop speccing my fifth and sixth ACGs last weekend. Looked very nice indeed.
awesome! 5th and 6th wow, they must be as good as I'm anticipating mine being! Alan did me this pic just so I could see how it's gonna look in terms of layout, these aren't the pickups or ramp going into the bass, its just for representation. also shows the neck glued in
21. you're really selling it! however.... I really am just looking for a P, or the cash to buy a P Sorry
22. UPDATE: I think I may know where the cover is! Will have a look and keep you updated. Thanks
23. Hey guys, I have an immaculate Peavey Cirrus BXP 4 (Bubinga Top), that gets no use. I'd say that this bass is in 98.5% as new condition. The only thing wrong is it's missing the truss rod cover on the headstock (can't find it anywhere), sure Peavey would sort you out with a replacement for a few pence if it really bothers you! The bass is £340 new, I'd like it to go for £250 (saving nearly 100 quid on a bass thats nearly exact to one out of the shop!) Let me know if anyones interested and I'll sort you out with some pics or any extra info you need Thanks Rich Coughlan
24. on a straight sale I'd probably be asking for around £440 for her They are £600 new, and to be honest it plays and sounds as new. Has had a really nice set up by Mo Clifton (http://www.cliftonbasses.co.uk/) Just to give you some info on condition. The bass has been gigged for around a year on and off. Consequently it has one or two very minor knocks. Strings are dead as the bass hasn't been used in the last 6 months. There is a little rust on the top of the bridge pickup poles, but this doesn't affect the sound at all, and is very common on Fenders after a couple of years as I'm sure you know. One thing I have just realised is the strap button is missing! No idea whats happened there, but I could easily get a replacement and glue it in (something I find I always have to do with Fenders) What are your thoughts anyone interested in straight sale?
