2.
zebrahead-ben osmundson (quality but unknown) kings of leon - jared followill
Two great bands, saw Zebrahead live at the Garage in Highbury- amazing!
  3.
Pain of Salvation - Kristoffer Gildenlow - One of the most underrated bassists that I know of, probably. YES - Never get tired of Chris Squire.....awesome player. Radiohead......Colin Green? I can't remember - Simple but effective basslines.
Good call on Kris G!! Great band, great bassist, very underrated as you say. Radiohead bassist is Colin Greenwood, Johnny's brother. As for myself, it's been mostly Muse (Chris Wolstenholme) and I'm sure everyone's aware of the talents there. Apart from that: Dream Theater- John Myung (I'm sure I don't need to say any more) Pain of Salvation & Opeth (mentioned above) Porcupine Tree- Ed something Big Ben And The Houses Of Parliament- Me!

  5. I'm almost willing to bet that you get what you pay for with these sort of things. But you never know, could be worth it!

    *edit*

I'll just warn you that I've heard (from the MUSE board incidentally) a fair few stories about the reliability of the DL4. I still want one myself though, that sweep echo sounds amazing.
  7. Thanks guys. John, the amp looks amazing but I don't really have £500 right now! Thanks for the offer though.
  8. First of all, it's great to have the forum back again! Thanks to everyone involved with making that happen! Anyway, me and my band are looking at doing at more gigs over the summer (we've been on a bit of a break due to uni commitments) and as such I think I'm going to need a new amp (maybe). At the moment I'm playing a Trace Elliot boxer 65, a 65 W 12" combo which is great for practices but I feel like I could do with a bit more oomph. So with that in mind I'm looking for something more powerful that the above, preferably not too heavy and not too expensive. Although I'd pay more for an amp that I could like extension cabs to or that would last for a fair while. With regards to sound, versatility would be nice, we play mostly indie type stuff but I'm also into prog stuff (dream theater etc) and some metal (opeth etc) but I also like to play a bit of slap from time to time (RHCP etc). The other thought I had was pretty much ditching the amp idea and just going DI but I don't think that'd be reliable enough considering the venues we'd most likely be playing at. So having considered all that, does anyone care to make some reccomendations? Thanks!
