3. Ok here it is, I bought this from Magnolia 1 week ago but I want to sell it to help fund an original 66 Jazz. It has an alder body and US Vintage Pickups. Here you can hear a recording that I made with it.

The price is around 500 quid, but I am also open to offers.

  4. Enjoy your stay in Crete! It's not that hot now in September!

Definitely visit the mountains and the villages there, eat as much fried Graviera as you can and be careful not to over do it with Tsikoudia!

An if you get near Chania the best beach to go is Falassarna and Elafonisi :)

  5. When flea plays simple, people say that he has grown old and forgot to groove

When flea plays a little more, people say that he plays too much!

The chili peppers are the only rock band that I could watch live every day, every show has something new to it with lots of improvisation! That is their philosophy and that is why their true fans love them!

And don't forget that flea is not a bass player! He is a trumpet player! His hands play bass but his mind playes the trompet! His own words!

  6.
You will forever be at the mercy of the soundman! (Unless he's got the decency to mic you up)
Thas is way a serious band needs to have its own sound guy! I know that it rises up the cost but you have your own sound!

  7. The odb-3 sounds crap if you don't have an amp with a tweeter speaker! But if you do nothing beats its bottom end high distortion sound!

I've tried many bootique and other distortion and overdrive pedals the previous 3 months (ebs, t-rex, fulltone, sansamp, ibanez) and I've ended up on keeping the ebs multidrive for mellow and low gain tube like overdrive (AMAZING pedal for the job) and the boss odb-3 for heavy distortion sounds(Muse like, or Around the World like) because no pedal from the above list can go there! It also depends on what kind of bass you play! I only like the sound of the odb with my stingray! When I play with my Jazz and Rick I prefer the EBS due to the different gain and sound of the single coils!

But as tayste pointed out it really is up to the amp you use! I play with a gallien krueger 400rb and 2 mesa boogie cabs! But when I connect my pedalboard to my little Roland Cube 30 at home on low volumes you can't really tell the difference!

  8. I am looking for a Double Bass to begin with. What sould someone look at when buying a Double Bass?

My budget is around £1000, can I get something to start playing with my budget? What about these in Thomann:?

    http://www.thomann.de/gr/thomann_kontrabass_2_m_4_4.htm

    http://www.thomann.de/gr/thomann_kontrabass_44.htm

    Help me please!

P.S. What is the difference from 4/4 and 3/4 basses? Size?

  9.
MB1. :)

Theres a synth player that stands behind the amps?......thats a bit much dont you think?......body odour or halitosis?.....or do they just not like him?
The synth player is Chad Smiths drum tech and he doesn't want to be on stage. He plays on Snow and a couple of other songs.

And here is flea's pedal board for the stadium arcadium tour.

    And his amps

    And his bass tech:
