Does anyone know where can I find Rickenbacker parts in UK or in general? I am looking for a new nut for my 4003, I've found a couple of sites in the states but the postage costs are around $30 for a nut that costs $6!!!

It is recorded direct to pc via a mackie onyx satellite and then into Ampeg SVX. I must have done something wrong with the eq because I can't hear it in my laptop either

Thas is way a serious band needs to have its own sound guy! I know that it rises up the cost but you have your own sound!

The odb-3 sounds crap if you don't have an amp with a tweeter speaker! But if you do nothing beats its bottom end high distortion sound!

I've tried many bootique and other distortion and overdrive pedals the previous 3 months (ebs, t-rex, fulltone, sansamp, ibanez) and I've ended up on keeping the ebs multidrive for mellow and low gain tube like overdrive (AMAZING pedal for the job) and the boss odb-3 for heavy distortion sounds(Muse like, or Around the World like) because no pedal from the above list can go there! It also depends on what kind of bass you play! I only like the sound of the odb with my stingray! When I play with my Jazz and Rick I prefer the EBS due to the different gain and sound of the single coils!

But as tayste pointed out it really is up to the amp you use! I play with a gallien krueger 400rb and 2 mesa boogie cabs! But when I connect my pedalboard to my little Roland Cube 30 at home on low volumes you can't really tell the difference!

I had an AKAI headrush which broke down. I replaced it with the E2 but I liked the sound of the first one better. I am currently after one too, there are a couple of auctions on ebay right now.

I am looking for a Double Bass to begin with. What sould someone look at when buying a Double Bass?

The synth player is Chad Smiths drum tech and he doesn't want to be on stage. He plays on Snow and a couple of other songs.
