1. Traded an SFT for a Tonehammer with Etienne and I have to say he was a great person to deal with.
The pedal was packed well and in great condition.
Thanks very much for a great and worry free transaction.

    Cheers
    Sean

  2. As above .....Everyone seems to be selling them and at around 200 notes ....It aint cheap.....im not seeing anyone wanting it either......

As with all Their stuff ......It really is over priced isnt it??

And I have been running from new a Markbass CMD102P.....Which in my opinion is overpriced also...

Why is the stuff so dear??

Ive sent the combo back twice in a year, already....honestly...

  3. Hi all,
I have Guitar rig 4 on my computer and I run it using ASIO audio drivers and it sounds good no latency etc.....However Id like to be able to run it along side Youtube when having a look at, or learning new songs and these drivers dont seem to be compatible with Internet Explorer.....

Does anyone have any idea how i can run the two together?....If I run it throught the computers standard audio drivers there are latency issues...

    Thanks in Advance

  4. There has been no job number given out but in fairness to GAK they got the amp picked up really quickly, as in the next morning, so my complaint is not so much with them.

Ive read somewhere though that Proels service (main distributor for markbass stuff in the UK) is painfully slow and they charge a fortune.

I guess this is what gets me, if your paying top dollar for something you expect top dollar service.........and Markbass stuff aint cheap.

  5. Hi all,
I bought a Markbass cmd102p (and New York ext cab) at the end of july and it was great until the main fuse (the one positioned where the kettle lead enters the amp) blew about 3 weeks ago.

I phoned Proel first of all and spoke to their technical department and they told me the amp would need to come in for repair as it could be a serious problem and just changing the fuse wouldnt do any good.

Ok, so with the amp being under six months old I got in touch with Gak, who i bought the amp off and they arranged a courier to come and pick it up. Great.

Ive not however heard anything else up to this point so I phoned Gak yesterday trying to chase up how long the amp will need to be away and to be honest, they couldnt give me any information. They did however tell me that as soon as they hear anything they will let me know.

So, with it now coming up to about 3 weeks since my amp was sent away and with it being so new and Markbass` apparently great reputation, My question is:

How long do you think I should give it before I start complaining about the length of time its been away??

Im in a real busy band and wanted to go down the good sound and portability route. I find im now back to lumping my heavy Ampeg gear around again to gigs. The Ampeg stuff sounds great but kind of defeats the object of buying the light weight stuff in the first place.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Sean.

  6. I have a 4 string BTB and I had the same problem.....I play in a loud band and it rendered the guitar almost useless as you couldnt hear anything I was playing unless i turned the gain right up on the amp and then got a distorted sound that I didnt want.....apparently its a common problem with BTB`S as they are fitted with cheap Bartolini mk1 pickups on most standard guitar models....I upgraded to the much better spec Bartolini mk2 Soapbars (fitted to quite a few of Ibanez more up market guitars) and the increase in volume was immense.....like night and day.....the preamp in your guitar is pretty standard for the Ibanez range guitar with the 18v preamp fitted, it basically comes down to you have sh*te pick ups fitted in your guitar at the moment....apologies if im wrong on this but I did have the same problem as you and it had nothing to do with the batteries....

    Reguards

    Sean.

  7. Exactly the same thing has just happend to my Markbass CMD102P its only 4 months old and luckily still under warranty.....so no dust issues.....I spoke to the guy at Proel also though, he told me if the fuse blows where the kettle lead enters the amp you have serious problems and your amp will need to be looked at.....replacing this fuse will not cure your problem....mine blew funnily enough at really low volumes when I was trying a new pedal out in the house....The weight of this combo is great but as a busy bass player can I trust it again at a gig without backup??....which kind of defeats the object of buying an expensive lightweight bit of kit in the first place....

  8. It doesnt help you much....but I have to say I have always had good service from Andertons.... I will say however, I have been let down by courier services frequently, usually having to drive to the depot and pick the stuff up myself.....

  9.
Hi I'm looking to trade or sell my Mark Bass Combo as the gigs I'm doing simply don't require an amp of this size. I'm interested in anything small but with a decent bit of power eg. a EBS Neo Drome 12 combo, or an aguilar tone hammer with an SL 12 Cab.

I'm looking for £650 as a straight sale and open to offers. Pics coming soon.
I wish you would have posted this yesterday....Ive just ordered one....damn...

  10. I'm thinking of buying the terror bass 2x10 combo that comes out next month. Trouble is there is so litt

le info about it, it does look great though. I expect it will still be loud, but I was just wondering how good it would be for adding extra cabs to it as we sometimes play larger venues.
