  1. They look stunning! Love the decal on the back of the headstock like the old Status ones!
  2. Also headless I've got the Fender Pure Vintage 64 in a Jazz bass I built and they are my favourite pickups ever. Also worth saying that is an absolutely stunning piece of Walnut!
  3. Ding, ding ding! I've got a Fender version of the Badass bridge, Hipshot ultralights, an OBP-1 and the pickup from the Fender Active Flea already. Will basically be a Fender Flea Active with a graphite neck. Will be interesting to see what the difference is compared to the wooden ones. I don't want to go down the tonewood(or tone-composite) rabbit hole but I have a wooden necked stingray and a graphite necked stingray and IMO it's chalk and cheese! Apart from clearly superior tuning stability (I've got an Emerald Solid Graphite Weave acoustic that I haven't had to tune at all in years) I do think graphite necks clearly change the sound. Would be really interesting in doing a blind A/B and seeing if I could call them correctly.
  4. I've got a roasted swamp ash body with the graphite necks name on it. Single humbucker route in the music man sweet spot. Any guesses what I'm making?
  5. Will let the OP respond first but I have a spare one I could sell if not
  6. This looks an incredible bargain, please someone snap it up. I've already got too many basses and I'm currently building 4!
  7. If the JB4 neck turns out nice you may get a decent amount of repeat business just from me!
  8. Absolutely gorgeous! One of my dream basses, if I wasn't restoring a Moon PGM right now I'd have this.
  9. I'll also post my other project when that's done. I'm building what I hope is a superior version of the darkray with mostly real musicman parts but that one has a graphite neck as well. It seems to be incredibly difficult to do pots with light up led rings around them? Never would have guessed that would be the stumbling point so far
  10. I will have to get myself together and record some audio examples. Because of the filter pre you can get some dub sounds if you go all the way, about halfway is almost a hint of auto wah sort of subtle squelchy q tron sound and all the way it sounds crystal clear and bell like. You can get really different tones from a very small amount of knob twiddling.
  11. Sorry I forgot controls, they are 3 way pickup coil selector, nfp filter preamp q amount, volume, then a killswitch.
  12. Yes people spotted the g string when I originally posted it in the build thread. I already swapped it over I just couldn't be bothered taking new pictures. Haha The neck is a status graphite MM neck with a jazz bass nut width. Well spotted that is indeed a Herrick pickup, it's an 8 coil. Wired with a three way switch so it can do 4 coil humbucker p and reverse p as well. It's also got an nfp filter preamp. I cannot recommend Martin at Herrick enough. Brilliant guy and the best customer service!
  13. Might as well post my recent build.
