1. My mate Lee Pomeroy (Take That/It Bites/Rick Wakeman) plays one left handed but the nut needs reversing, and the volume and tone controls & the dots on the fingerboard are kinda the wrong way round. Not ideal but can be done - they don't make lefties. N
2. Ok - won't be back until tonight. I'll sort them then. N
3. Hi guys, I've got an immaculate, unused NS Design Wav bass with new style gig bag and (a working!) tripod stand. I bought it on a whim and have never taken it out the house. It's in the Amber burst finish (which actually is more of a tobacco sunburst)and in as-new condition. Just a feeler to see if anyone's after one. I'd be looking for about £550 but due to its dimensions I'm not really up for posting it. I'm in SE9, South London for viewing/ collecting. I'll put some pics up if I get any interest although it is what it is - an immaculate condition Wav bass! Ta! N
4. Well....possibly, but they're a little too specific to be of any use! A sunburst Roscoe Beck 5! I'm also considering the choice between a Sadowsky Metro RV5-PJ and a passive USA Fender P or J 5 (all in sunburst). The Stingray is lovely but has unfortunately become surplus to requirements. Thanks for the message! N

6.
I'm interested in the SYB-3 are you interested in any of what i have for sale? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=56440
Thanks for the message - I'm afraid it's sales only. I've really dropped the prices to move them and they're all in superb condition. Cheers all the same. N
7. Hi Nick! I remember you from the good ol' Wapping days! Do you still have the world's largest bass collection?!! Nice to hear from you man. N
8. Nice one Phil, ta. I am open to offers and may eventually put it in The Gallery to be seen. N
9. Ah shucks - cheers Mike. That was my former life! I've been asked about trades; all I'm after is a Sunburst Roscoe Beck or Metro 5. Gotta be Sunburst though (I realise beggars can't be choosers!) Thanks again, N
10. This will be one of the nicest Ernie Ball Stingrays you'll have seen/played. Please note, Hipshot has been removed and the original stock tuner and strap studs have been re-fitted. Go check it out at The Gallery - here's their link and pic: http://www.thebassgallery.com/mmsting4tbs.html It is with regret that I'm putting this up for sale. Ordered at the Winter NAMM 2003, arrived 19th March 2003, my custom ordered, through-body strung 3EQ Stingray. Beautiful Vintage Sunburst, 'Shell guard, the darkest rosewood board. It's in lovely condition. It's done 100s of gigs and never let me down. The pictures aren't brilliant I'm afraid; I'd much rather it be seen in the flesh/wood. It's at The Gallery for viewing, playing etc (it's up for £895 there) but I'm willing to sell privately - any offers? Nick

14. Yep, could be! Hard to tell - they didn't usually date stamp basses from that era.
15. It sure is a lovely bass - and a great era for lightweight Jazzes - but this is almost certainly a '74 not a '73 due to the white, not black, blocks and the thumb rest being located on the E string side of the plate - both recognised '74 Fender Jazz appointments. In the vintage bass market a refin is a refin; it's always been that way and always will unfortunately. People pay a premium for the originality of a bass and the finish (the body paint) is probably the most crucial element, irrespective of its actual condition. Still, if you get the money you're asking then you'll done really well - Jimmy Moon did a beautiful job!
