How is that any different from a cavity with a scratchplate?
You can still only shield the bottom and sides of a cavity (scratchplate or no scratchplate) with the pickup poking through the top

I’ll check them out, not doing the facespace thing I’ve lost touch with him and what he’s up to.
very strange stuff - but then this is Gary Emmins we're talking about - I've lost touch too - I only heard about it via our merch man

And Gary was guitarist in The Shout with me in the late 80s, small world indeed!
Now he fronts The Filthy Spectacula

Yeah was in a band - Blackreign - with him in the early 90s, he was on rhythm guitar.
Should be added to the family tree, then. The one above goes to about 1990....we've got 30 years to add to it!!
He played bass and vocals in Traumatics

I wondered if Steve Carter would be somewhere on there.
Do you know him?
He's from the Traumatics days and the birth of SLAG

and there's an endorsement opportunity that needs no pondering!
Perhaps I should change my name to Ernie Ball ?

The lineup that recorded the last big hit.
The last? That could be 20 lineups removed from the original lineup.

What do you class as the 'original lineup' ?
Is it the lineup that attends the first rehearsal?
Or the lineup that records the first record?
Does a name change count as the same band or another?

I think the ‘American’ system of using quarter notes, eighths note, etc. is easier to understand than the more tradition system of crotchets and quavers.
I understand what a minim, a crotchet, a quaver, a semi-quaver etc is........I just can't read the rhythm.

I used to be able to read treble clef - I am OK getting the pitch right but reading rhythm eludes me.
Bass clef is still a mystery to me ( I can never remember the stave).

When i got my nano+ I drilled out the feet and replaced them with 4 jacknuts and taller rubber feet.
It means I can get my T-Rex Chamelon underneath, no problem. It's a simple mod that costs pence and takes 30 minutes tops.

I thought hipsters wanted everything to be "authentic". Therefore they would be paying by cash - probably in groats or guineas.
and probably really dig Cannibal Corpse anyway

What's going on with that G string though?
Looks like it's going the wrong way round the post

My Barefaced cabs don't have Tolex, just a textured paint.
I didn't even realise barefaced offered Tolex.

SO how'd it go?
Did you work yourself into such a state that the intro to the first song evacuated your head and you totally forgot how to play?

Relax
Don't worry about it.
Getting in a fluster and overthinking will harm your performance.

We have a whole forum for this kind of thing.
Got a whole thread of them here: - there are many more on youtube

I only ever take:-
9V battery (if I remember to pack one) for the Sterling
Spare 12AX7valve for my DHA pedal (lives in my pedal bag permanently - not needed one yet)
A screwdriver - to open the pedal if necessary to get the duff valve out (if I remember to pack it)
A spare lead.
A hand towel
A pair of underpants - an accidental pre-show self soiling incident could ruin a show

should bands carry on when there's only one original member?

The charts are of little consequence these days.
There are many bands touring that have been going for years with multiple releases that have never been near the charts
