1.
How much does this cost as new out of interest? What kind of styles of music does it suit? Can this be used for metal? I could do with a decent backup bass and this looks the nuts!

Oh yeah and what details can you possibly give me on the neck? Is it like a warwick? A jazz? A P? ETC
I bought this brand new, from a second party as the company don't ship to the UK. This is one of a handful that are in the UK. I've yet to see another on basschat! TBC are now producing their basses in the US, the guy is literally only making one of each model every month. They are priced at $400 now brand new, so including shipping to the UK and VAT/customs charges i think you could get a brand new one for about £350 direct from the US, i think he even ships to the UK now. The chinese made ones are exactly the same as the american ones, he will use the same parts and everything, the only difference now will be it is assembled by a couple of American blokes rather than a dozen Chinese folk. I guess i would have to compare the 2 basses side by side to be able to give an accurate comparison of the two tho'

I myself use the bass for metal, i have recorded all of my bands tunes on it:

The neck is a very similar profile to that of a Jazz bass, might be a wee tad thinner...

    Hope that helps.

  2. I am still looking to sell this. Since originally posting the advert i have got a 6 string so I don't have as strong an interest in the TBC now. I will maybe accpet trades or part-exchanges but ideally i am looking for £250

    Rich
yes he is indeed funny, i just get pissed of with him always putting

MB1  at the start of every post

I have never heard of vester before now, it certianly looks nice. If i was looking for another 4 banger i'd have it

Good Luck with the sale :)

  4.
That's quite lovely for £250 & worth bearing in mind that if they'd ever imported these into the UK, they'd probably cost about twice that amount.

Your making me think i should perhaps hold on to it :)

  5. I bought the bass from a guy in Seattle who was prepared to ship it to me :) He bought 10 of them from TBC apprently. This was un-used by him. I believe as soon as he bought them he sold the majority.

This offer is still open btw

  6. I have a taster of my new project (made a myspace a couple of days ago), which incorporates MIDI. It is Dark Ambint, so an aquired taste :) :

  7. Hi,

As i am sure you know TBC offer perhaps unparalled value for money. The build and finish quality is that of something you'd expect on a £1000+ bass. There is so much to say about the bass, everything really is top quality. The electronics (namely the pre amp) can be improved on, some people even choose to make these basses passive.

    It is 22 frets
    Pau Ferro fretboard
3 piece quarter sawn hard rock maple neck
    'midnight blue' (black) wood pickgaurd
Chambered swamp ash body, bookmatched top
    2 custom wound Jazz pups
    3 Band EQ Vol/bass/mid/treb/blend pots

These basses are no longer produced as far as i believe. TBC are moving all production to the USA now. This was one of the basses that was built by a TBC owned factory in China, that was manned by people employed by TBC.

The only sign of use is on the pickgaurd, a scratch, it isn't very deep but just slightly in the varnish.

I would probably be looking at £250 for this, this is a good bit less that what it cost me to get into the UK; with VAT, import tax, shipping costs and handling charges.

    Thanks for looking, Jamie

  8. When i sent a bass via CityLink i wrapped it in a Plastic TO LET sign. Yes seriosuly, i bent the sign round it and taped the ends giving massive amounts of tension in the plastic, apprently when the guy recieved the bass it was it tip-top condition, his face after being whacked by the plastic was apprently not, oh well ...

  9. I have sienhesser ones too, don't think i'll be selling 18 though , I will use them a bit more and give y'all some feedback :) I wasn't criticising the other headphones, i haven't tried them. I was merely pointing out that i made the mistake of incorrectly inserting them for a while

  10. I have used CityLink to post countless amounts of things, i even got them to pick up a 4x10 for me, it was only covered with the cordura cover and one sheet of cardboard (what else could you do) i recieved it in perfect condition. I have also recieved a 23.5KG CME UF-8 keyboard via CityLink, it wasn't packaged that greatly but i still recieved it in perfect condition, well it had a crack in the end but that was already there apprently :)

  11. I bought a Terratec Sine CT-1 on the BW classifieds a few months back. It is everything i want it to be really as far as a tuner is concerned, great build quality very precise and it even has an air guitar input :)

  12. Harley Benton is the Thomann stuff yeh ? I don't see why it wouldn't be worth a punt. They are maybe not as goof value for money as an SX for the US but i think the only way you'll get a pretty decent represntation of how they are is by buying one :)

  13. Thanks, for that. It was just the sheer quantity of things i was selling got confusing at times  It would be nice if others could drop me some feedback, after all i did sell 18 pairs of headphones and everyone seemed happy with the transactions :)
