Yup that's the fella, a guy named Guy Morel has been most helpful too.
He sent me out a new input jack last week, awesome guy, awesome company. -
Where do I get the inputs from? Also how do I take the front panel out?
EDIT: Ashdown are sending me a free input jack. -
Hi All,
Well my trusted Ashdown head's passive input is broken, I have checked my bass on a practice amp so that is fine and also I can use the active input on the amp. I emailed ashdown about the problem and they just told me to replace it.
I opened it up today to check what I had to buy and found that it was soldered onto the board in 6 places. Has anyone done this before to advise me? Or would you just recommend getting a new amp head rather than sending it to Ashdown for service. -
fitting a nice vintage fender pickup in my icon next week
Wow, update us please. -
Yep I have noticed that they choose good construction materials, but the quality of the pickups is a bit lame. Nice basses though.
very recently bought myself a Icon V4, very happy with it!! Makes me wonder why people can spend thousands on a precision
Same, and seen as it doesn't say squire on the headstock, nobody really knows it is a budget bass. -
The Vintage bass, one of the only cheap brands who consistantly produce good quality instruments for a small price.
List your precious JHS Vintage basses below (pref. with a photo) - I myself have a Vintage V4 from ages ago and I am about to purchase either V 1004 or the V940. -
I had a nasty buzz in mine and today I shielded the whole of the pickup cavity and control cavity with copper. Worked a treat!
-
The buzz goes away when I touch any metal part to atleast 90% - the P bass is almost unplayable as it pops and buzzes all the time.
Is there a solution to this? I have looked to see if there are loose wires or the bridge ground needs adjusting. But nothing seems to be working, apart from a complete re-wire what could it be? -

Got the same. -
To be honest the specials on Jools Holland arn't the best reflection of sound, seen as it is mixed for the TV.
-
What happens if you own a Rolls Royce phantom? Potential 1/10 bass budget of £35,000?
-
Buy a product where the company that makes it knows how to write proper instructions.

She looks like a bit of a ferret when she 'looks like shes enjoying herself'

A bit samey, sounds alot like Marcus when he's not slapping to kingdom come.
-
£500 for a bass like that, no thanks.

My trace 1153:
-
the russian bassballs looks interesting the price would have to be lower though.
-
Mine doesn't track really passed a low C, I mean it does a little so I would say an A.
-
Use meths, metal and water does not go together.
-
Email ashdown, they will fix it if you can't.
