Hi people, Im off to record an album in a few weeks and ive decided to sell a few basses to help fund it. so firstly we have my active fretless transitional period stingray, beautiful colour plays amazing, sounds amazing serial number is B023168 £1350 secondly i have a my active fretted ray, red with a white scratchplate also plays beautifully. i have been told this could also be a transitional era with a few pre ernie parts on it but i havent had that confirmed. serial is B023546 £1000 and third we have my black active sub, with a custom mirror scratchplate. £400 im located in birmingham, so if anyone is interested feel free to pm me. Now open to offers on all of them, no trades though sorry. i look forward to hearing from you all.

I think this is the most beautiful bass ive ever seen... unfortunatley i dont think it would be versatile enough... http://www.guitarvillage.co.uk/productdetail.aspx?pid=903 can you think of any other basses like that? i know alembic and status are kind of that shape but thats silly money
What kind of stuff are you doing? im a decent vocalist even better bass player.
-
They are both fine bass players but memorable bass lines from them - not really... There's the solo in "My Generation" but that's just a solo the rest of the song is all about the vocals As for Jack Bruce, while there's plenty of notable guitar parts in Cream I doubt I'd be able to recognise any of his work from the bass line alone. In the end that's what it's all about.
That solo changed the way people looked at bass in the mainstream forever, and clapton harldly wrote anything for cream... was mainly jack, so clapton was just copying jack

i have 10 at the moment i think, they have all done a job for me in the past... i pretty much only use my darryl jones now though
-
its all down to opinion, and my opinion is that list is S**T... no entwistle? or jack bruce? the author of that article needs to re educate himself musically

Do Anything You Wanna Do- Eddie and the Hot Rods
Lewk replied to PaulWarning's topic in Theory and Technique
i used to cover it in an old band, lots of route/octives.. pretty simple really.. the backing vocals/ harmonies are quite high though.. -
I generally dont use a pick as i play fast enough without.. if it fits a song i will use one though.. but i rob them off my guitarist, i never buy them my fingers were free.
