  1. 17 years late, I stumbled on one of these on ebay, looked it up here to see if anyone has experiences with them, I can say I'm happy with mine. Sounds good enough all stock, the previous owner put dot fretboard markers on it but it's stock otherwise. The preamp is good enough and has a sire like lay out with volume and tone stack, blen, bass mids & treble, active/passive switch and a mute switch. I may swap it for an obp 3 though, maybe.
  2. Indonasian
  3. Hi, How was it for you please? did you end up changing anything? I've had one in my basket for a while but the lack of reviews with a nice sound makes it hard. I won't be surprised if the one you bought was in my basket too at one point lol
  4. Hi, Do you still have the audere preamp and are you open to selling, please?
  5. Hi, If you ever wish you sell your blonde jackson please reach out, thanks.
  6. Hi, what did you think of the bass please? I appreciate it has been more than a few years but I'm looking at a fretted fiver on ebay now and there's not much information. Thanks in advance.
  7. Thanks guys. Honestly I don't know much about his ability other than that he's with PMT. I've never had work done on a bass before, I'm only relying on the fact that he works with PMT and I'm trusting (blindly) that they would not be working with someone who does not know what they're doing. I'm new to bass modifications myself so I would not know the first thing to look out for. I have gotten a few tools though, soldering etc, and I'll be getting one or two dirty cheap basses I can learn on with some tutorials. Thanks again for your input on this.
  8. he said he changed the jack and everything including the push pull active/passive pot but nothing worked. Unfortunately I got it off reverb and it took some weeks before my tech back back from his holiday to work on it so I doubt the seller would want to do anything about it.
  9. Thank you both for your replies. Is there any possible solution to the module issue please?
  10. I bought a bartolini preamp 3 band for my jackson five string bass cmj 5. It has been installed but the Luthier says no sound comes from it when he engages the active mode. He has changed pots, including the push pull, the jack too but nothing has worked. He thinks it's the module, but surely if the module is the problem then there would be no sound at all? any ideas?
  11. I know it's been a few years but do you still have this bass and is it for sale? please let me know if it is for sale, I'd like to buy it
  12. It's like some don't think before they buy gear lol
  13. I don't think it's something a guy can do easily, it won't fit in the boot of most cars either without you putting some marks on it. Maybe I'm overstating it a bit, I'll take a short video of it for you at some point so you can see. Sound wise though I genuinely think this can compete with most cabs out there, even without using the control console for the horn (which is the extra bit), it's crazy.
  14. These wharfedales are the albion ones rebranded after albion didn't catch on. just a change of plate like you said
  15. oh yeah it is HEAVY, but it has wheels at the back in a sort of tilt back angle which made it easy. I'm very lightweight myself but I moved it fine once it was out the box
