1. Thanks Jake - so I was being dim. It's a nice looking bass - just a shame I'm so far from Manchester. Phil
2. Chris, I can't find it in Basses For Sale. Am I being dim or is it nor there? Phil
3. All, I have a slightly tired but perfectly functional Hartke Kickback 12 combo. I'm open to offers. Phil
4. Biggus, I know a bit about back problems so you have my sympathy. Two thoughts. First. Somebody early in the thread mentioned the Status Electro. I'd agree - nice bass, much more versatile than you might imagine and very light. I kind of regret letting mine go. Second, as you'll see in my sign-off I represent Veillette Guitars (www.veilletteguitars.com) in the UK. I have an ex demo, and light, Single Cut Retro that I'd happily do a good deal on for a BassChat member with a dodgy back. The bass was reviewed in Bass Guitar Mag a year or so ago. Third, I was about to suggest giving you my fretless Wal, but damn, it's a bit heavy. Phil
5. All, Any opinions on the realistic value of a bog standard late 90s US Fender Jazz in red with a white scratch guard. In good condition as far as I'm aware. Thanks Phil

8.
Why not bring it to the bash at Guildford?
I would, along with a couple of Veillette's, but a good friend has chosen that day to get married in Tunbridge Wells. I even know that Guildford rehearsal room, used it a couple of times when I lived (literally) just down the road. Phil

10. All, Still up for grabs despite a fair few enquiries. I might even be interested in trades for something interesting (a decent classical guitar per chance?) My Manne Acoustibass is surplus to requirements. If Manne distrbuted to the UK this would be a relatively expensive purchase but it being an unusual beast and me being realistic I'd be happy with around £600. The bass is in good condition with only a couple of very minor, near invisible, gig bruises. It plays beautifully with a lovely low action and a warm singing tone. Only slight pain is that the single-coil magnetic pick-up is prone to picking up hum (replacement with a hum-cancelling stacked coil type might make sense). I know it's an unusual one but I'm sure its just right for somebody out there. Email me at [email protected] if you're interested. Phil
