  1. [size="4"]Hi All,
Major Car repairs to get it thro the MoT, then Car Tax & Car insurance means i have to put this up for sale.

    Anyway here's the deal.

Specs for those that don't know:

Its definately the Usa model, which has 2 x G&L magnetic pickups.

Body wood i believe is Alder & its 3 Tone Sunburst in colour.

Hard rock maple neck with a maple fingerboard.

Serial number can be seen in one of the pictures.
    But its an approx 1998.

Neck radius is 12" (304.8mm) according to the website.
Neck at the nut is 1 3/4" (44.5mm).

The controls are the well known active/passive tri-tone electronics which gives you an amazing array of tones & sounds at your disposal. Which contains the 3-way mini-toggle pickup selector, series/parallel mini-toggle, pre-amp mini-toggle(off/on/on with high end Eq boost).

Tuning keys are the G&L Custom "Ultra-Lite" with Aluminium Tapered String posts.

The Bridge is the G&L saddle lock with chrome plated brass saddles, which gives the option of string thro the bridge or thro the body.

This also comes with the G&L hard case too.

These basses are hard to find in the Uk & can command a very high price, i hope that you find my asking price to be quite reasonable.

I've had this bass from new. I've gigged this bass only twice, it has been used in rehearsals & at home, but since the arrival of a 55-01 Lakland approx 4 yrs ago, which has a wider string spacing this now rarely gets used. So no trades at this moment in time.

It is in a very very good condition, the only fault i could find is that there is one screw missing from the battery cover, but if i can find a replacement, i will do so for the new owner.

Please note, the distorted part of the pic on the back of the bass, is only the protective plastic cover for the battery compartment & the white patches are where the original price ticket was torn off.

Would prefer for any prospective buyers to try before they buy.
But arrangemants can be made otherwise.
Please pm me for more info or details.

    Many thanks

  2. Right guys i've just been reading this thread.

I'm an innocent bystander in all of this & i have no affilliation with either parties involved in this.

Although i did pm Geester with the possiblility with doing a deal with him regarding these amps, he
had already agreed a deal with Oldman. That is my only involvement.

I hope that it helps you & clears me.

But i too await to hear the outcome of this, because i may have been the person who had purchased these amps.

    Cheers all.

  3. Wow!!! I'd never heard of the "X" series emgs until reading this.

I use emgs in all of my 4 string basses, of which i have 3 squires which have been customised.
2 of them have emg active pj pickups & the other has an active p bass pickup, they also all have the btc preamp installed too.

But even using them all with the preamp set flat they sound very clear, articulate with lots of punch, & as most of the guys have said
the p bass pickup sounds great slapped. Oh! mine all have a 9v batteries installed.

I would be interested in trying the "X" series emgs, but i'm currently happy with the performance of the emgs i already have installed.

I'm sure you'd be happy with the results, standard emgs installed in your p - bass woud give you.

  4. I must say i've been thoroughly impressed with the sound i can get with mine running
my Swr Cabs, it produces an enormous amount of bottom end.

Infact when i demo'd it thro my goliath junior 2x10 it hand the shop windows rattling with the
amount of bottom end it produced & still retained the clarity that Swr cabs are known for.

I was so impressed i brought one.

  5. Hi there, I'm not sure if you're still looking but have heard that wembley loudspeakers
are of any use to you. I've heard that they're good, not sure about their prices as i've
    never dealt with them directly.

    www.wembleyloudspeaker.com

    Hope that helps

  6. I must say that dmz is an excellent guy to deal with.
He keeps his basses in great condition, i brought a lakland 55-01 from him about 2 years ago.
He made me feel very welcome in his home when i tried it & he didn't rush me to make a purchase.

Its great looking bass & if i could afford this i'd be straight over to buy this myself, don't that bass look inviting ?.

  7. Thats superb news,
I'm pleased to hear that its sounding punchy thro your Swr jr 2 x 10.

As thats what i plan to use it with although i have the goliath jr 2 x 10 mk111's.
I'm looking forward to hearing the results of your recordings as i may have to make some
space & sell a few things to accomdate the headlite too.
