I got King Bass prototype 4 , listed on L42 site as being one of Marks basses, though i dont think he owned the prototypes as it was Status that sold them off. My kingbass was used for reviews by the press and was awarded Bass of the year 2002 in one of magazines.

My Status Streamline was built for Kevin Walker, Bass player for Justin Timberlake, it was built to his special specification including minor body alteration , special electronics and a bit of weight added. Kevin never completed on the deal so Dawn Sold it to me ;-)

I was told my Manson Explorer was owned by someone when i bough it , but I forgot who, it had the name MAC in the fretboard now removed as i had the fret board replaced,

My Dad went on tour with the Who in 1982 to work on the video, and worked with John Entwistle editing the post tour video, sadly he didnt take me along or 'borrow' any of Johns basses , a spyder would have been nice.

Status for me but thats probably just my love of graphite, i also own a Wal , Zoot & Manson all excellent all very different.

Hi Nick seem to miss this thread , hopfuly i can come , sept dates good for me .

i like status graphite basses so £2000 is about right , the streamline starts at £1350, then theres LED and tints etcc... ohhhh

My Thumb is 1990 and marked as a "Thumb Bass" on the truss rod cover. Regarding the bass for sale by the OP, it should have the same slimmer neck profile as mine and not suffer from neck dive as the more recent Thumbs have. As i have said a few time here and BW if you want a thumb you should get one from this around this time.

I can give 1 person + a bass or 2 a lift from Ruislip ( Met / Central line) I usually go M40 / A43

I had a play on one of the Pink Strats once, they were the first batch of solid color guitars produced by fender and were sunbuirst bodys that were painted over.
Can't say it was memorable to play (it was much like any other strat , lol) other than the fact it was worth a lot & owned by someone famous.

my Status Streamline came in this Ritter bag,

it a standard Status string retainer , i just had a quick measure and it about 11mm, mine is standard 19mm at the bridge
