Using a Genz Benz Streamliner and Barefaced Compact for 95% of the time. Odd occasion we might do gigs where we are going through a proper PA so a DI would be useful (do have the JDI).
I do like both the stomp and the Origin Effects stuff, perhaps I could as above change it up for the smaller one and use the stomp with bigger one, and take for example the comp off as it's not really needed.
The smaller board I'm wondering if I've got enough power with only the expander 4 (guess depends what I put on it).
Sorry good points, I play mostly classic rock covers GNR, Bad Company, Free etc in my current band and do the odd dep for another band that does funk and soul.
For the main band we cover NIB which I've recently dialled in a filter and a distortion to get away with it.
The C4 and Aftershock I think have better sounds but a bit harder to work without the midi integration.
DCX seems to work ok for me but I can see why some do not like it.
I'm currently running one of two pedalboards (at the moment doing the smaller one as it's easier to lug around).
I use the Stomp on either board not two stomps and all ready have some pedals I'm looking to move on. (Bottom row including the B7K etc I think the Proton I have is a V2)
My dilemma is do I sell the bigger board as well as it doesn't get much use and perhaps put it towards something else?
Or sell X amount of the pedals and make the smaller board a analogue board with a nice preamp for example?
Has anyone found any good deals on wireless iem systems so far (Black Friday/Cyber Week).
I'm debating the XSW or if it comes down enough perhaps EW though it's almost 400 more.
For those using or come from the XSW is the EW worth the extra price?
Thanks again lots of great ideas, have seen some of the aftermarket rack ears for cable management that also might let a little more air flow though not sure how much difference they would make?
Hi all,
I've not got it yet (waiting until October) but will have an XR18 incoming. I'm looking into a rack case for it and what to pop in there with it.
Short term I will probably go with a bag until I've decided just for ease of transport.
I had thought about a small/shallow case that would hold:
IEM system x1, 4 in the band but I think the rest will use monitors the drummer might use headphones for his electric kit. I've not bought a system yet.
Some sort of router ideally small to replace the in built XR18 one
A power strip I thought might be helpful
A small draw/shelf to put any other bits on
Open to suggestions thanks.
Using these on a Nano+, with the Proton in the loop.
Drive and modulation on the Stomp still experimenting with the Regal, Mic pre etc.
Powered with a DC4 and either a powerbank or 24V plug to get the most out of it
Do like that idea but I thought you'd need the neuro hub or some sort of midi controller for them?
Unless you program the sounds in and use them as stomp effects as it were
After some ideas of what people would add to a nano+ pedalboard with a HX Stomp, Bright Onion switch.
Powered with a cioks4, using a daisy chain power cable there is room/power for 3 pedals what would you put on there?
Soon to have a HX Stomp (tomorrow hopefully).
Currently have a C4, Aftershock, Tuner, compressor, expression pedal, neuro hub and DMC 3XL.
Would you run them straight through or some into the effects loop of the HX Stomp?
I have in my head that I stick some "scenes" into the hub for things like an octave, synth, filter using C4 and some distortion sounds from the aftershock then recall them using the Stomp?
Thank you all for the suggestion so far, I'd imagine I should be able to setup my disaster area DMC3XL a similar way as extra footswitches and be able to get the C4 going as well.
It looks like a massive learning curve but being a bit techy hopefully I'll enjoy the journey.
