10.
Hi Matt Have you had any experience of comparison between the front versus rear ported cabs? Jay
Sorry for delay chaps..im selling 'cause i bough the 2 x 10 combo, and just wanna get an extra 2 x 10 cab instead of the 4 x 10. (The front ported one not the traveller). In terms of the diffefnces between front and rear ported cab, a, it's smaller, b, its lighter and from what i can tell its tigter sounding. In terms of condition, its immaculate!!! Ill happily ship to dublin, but its aint gonna be cheap!!! Cheers Matt 07736944054

 18.
Beautiful bass. How come you're selling? A change of direction? I notice you recently sold your Markbass rig too. Are you getting a Kingbass MK2? Also, why aren't advertising on the Statii site? Sorry for all the questions but as a Kingbass owner I'm curious. Good luck with the sale. Cheers Damon
Hey there, only selling due to the fact i like a change now and again. Had Kinbasses for years and years and feel like something different. Also the sound just isnt cutting it for the covers band im in, the guys guys say its a little thin. For now im looking at a Gb or the JD Starchild bass. I've bought a Bongo for now, and to be honest, it's fantastic!! Guys this bass is amazing, and immaculate, and a bargain!!! Cheers Matt
 19. My beautiful Retroglide is now for sale, it's number 6, and is the full specce'd one. All the bells and whistles. Its TOTALLY IMMACULATE and is no different then buying a new one from Status...except cheaper! The current list price is now (i believe) just over £3000. Im looking for about £2350 thats a saving of £750.00 for an as-new bass. Come with 4 sets of 30-90 double ball end Hotwires. If anyones interested give me a bell 07736 944054 - Matt
 20.
is it the same colour as this one: If so yeah its probably the same one
yeah thats the kid...DEF no to everyones taste ha ha
 21.
Sorry Matt, was probably a tad excessive in my condemnation there-wasn't meaning to slag your bass-if it suits you that's all that matters. They don't do it for me, but vive la difference, eh?
Mate its totally fine...im not offended! I NEVER would have dreamed of having one..but the price was good....
 22.
The same one i played?? If so, nice one mate, i really enjoyed playing it
Was it the blue ish colour one??? No pics as i dont have it till Friday!
 23.
I don't care how great it sounds-I still think it's one of the most hideous things ever to have four (or five, or for that matter any amount of) strings. The body looks like a bog seat and the headstock looks like Peppa Pig (those with kids will understand). Apologies to Bongo lovers-but then us Precision lovers have to take enough insults!
Fair enough mate, it was a good deal price wise, and a stop gap. Im used to a Status Kingbass..so its feels big...but i was strangely taken by it. Lets see what its like live!
 24.
Are you moving on from Status Basses then Matt?
Not too sure yet mate...VERY tempted to get a Jaydee 'starchild' bass....depends if i can sell the retroglide...basses dont seem to be shifting much at the moment.
 25.
yep, went to Reverb in bristol today and spotted a bongo HH 4 strings hanging on the wall, so i was finally able to try one. after discussing with the prick member of staff as to whether i could try it or not ("its an expensive bass for me to take down unless your gunna buy it...." wtf!) i was able to play it. Well, i was impressed to say the least. iv not played a 4 string in a while, but i adjusted pretty quickly. the feel of the neck and the bass in general was lovely, the neck wasnt at all sticky despite being painted, and the action was pretty much exactly the same as on my stingray. as predicted, the HH model wouldnt be the one i went for, as it completly hindered my slap technique, and it literally wasnt possible for me to slap fast on it. however the flexibility the 2 pickups give is superb, the bass has a great jazz tone with the bridge solo'd, but i mainly kept the balance in the middle. the preamp is probably the best iv ever used, massivly versitile, all kinds of tones were coming out of it, although i admit that my favourite sound was with everything flat. my opinion of the bass has changed quite a lot, and actually i found it not thattttt ugly. the 4 string HH version is not for me, but im now very eager to try out a 5 string H model and see if i still like it as much. ah well, i managed to stay GAS free for a couple of months anyways.....
I've just bought it for £999 as a stop gap before i decide on my next bass!! Cheers Matt
