Have a look at this video (apologies if it's been posted before!) http://m.youtube.com...h?v=blkrjAa4kvI

Yes that is the sound I'm after, she is a good player too that pretty lady... Thanks. :)

2. Hi folks

Just picked this up in a trade with "Harry / Hazbeen" and I am happy to report I am a Spector and 35" scale convert. I am only putting it up to fund another Spector 5 which I have my eye on which has my ideal pick-up configuration. If that bass gets sold I will be withdrawing this as it is just a great bass.

Harry valued this at £1225 so that's what I'm asking for it. Here is a link to his for sale thread: http://basschat.co.u...21#entry1937121

Yep, I agree!

Thanks chaps ;)

I really can't get over how good a 5 string this is.. It really does bury everything else i've tried before.... the feel is just perfectly comfortable for me... trouble is I now really have GAS for this:

I think this maybe my perfect bass... IF it feels and plays the same and with that Stingray sound... what do you guys think?
Can't have both, do I sell the current one and go for it or are these US ones quite a bit superior in your experiences??...

Damn the GAS.... :gas:

4. I'm a newbie to the world of Spectors and I have to say I'm very impressed!!

Here's mine a US 5er:

6. Hi there folks. I picked up one of these before Christmas and although a great pedal I think it is just too complicated for me to get the best out of really. Fiddled around and found I was happiest when I had made it sound pretty much identical to my Proton... Absolutely mint condition, boxed and bagged. Only played for a couple of hours if that. You can find all the info and current pricing etc... here:

I would be happy to trade it with some cash my way for a Diamond Bass Compressor BCP-1 or for[s] £190 [/s] £180 delivered to you door.

...+ would also trade for a half decent drum machine with a little cash either way as required.

Will endeavor to get some pictures up this evening.

Thanks for looking :)

I'll give you first dibs if I ever decide to move it on Tom, would you be so good as to do the same with that big block 750!? Loved the sound from it.
Cheers mate,
Neil

Thanks Neil + Course mate will do (Is a very, very unlikely occurance though I have to say.... ;) )

8. More good feedback for "Porkpie" AKA Neil. :)

Neil purchased my (well now his!) Cataldo Fenderbird. He was even patient enough to wait while I soldered some bad wiring on it... Paid in cold hard cash too, no messing, top man. Trade with confidence. B)

9. Just completed a trade/swap deal with Harry (fender jazz 62 for his Spector 5) and I cannot recommend the guy highly enough. He is a true Basschat sort. Friendly, patient, honest, great communications and the best packager of a bass I have ever known!! + A great advert for cross border trading too!!

Will keep in touch too as during the discussions for the trade both of our other halves gave birth to baby boys, just 4 minutes apart.... spooky or what!?

Deal with 100% confidence. :)

Or an Ibanez ATK, or one of those Sandbergs, or a SUB. :)
+1 on the ATK or SUBs

The Sandbergs (PMs and JMs at least) just don't get near enough to that Stingray sound IMHO. Don't know for why...Pre-amp or PU placement maybe... but if you play both one after the other you will notice a big difference.

In short to the OP... Get a Stingray ;) They are easy to tone down with playing dynamics/position/EQ ect..
