Yes they both sounded great into the amp direct but needed very different eq settings ofc.

Hi All

I’m a total Noob to the double bass world. Picked one up through BC before Christmas and am loving the challenge. 
My main band is an Elvis tribute so when I’m fully up to speed there is still going to be some switching between double bass and electric. 
 

I did play both for a first outing at a party last weekend (wife’s birthday, friendly crowd). It became fairly obvious that just plugging one in instead of the other isn’t really gonna work. 
 

So I’m guessing a line selector/ab thing with an eq pedal also might be the plan. What do you guys do? Is there a “one pedal to rule them all” single pedal solution?

Any help greatly appreciated 🙂

Adrian replied to my wanted ad for a Double bass. Super easy to deal with + great communications. Deal with 100% confidence 🙂 

It’s just a name for one of their product lines really. They tend to have some looks/features of the original era instruments but perhaps with a modern tweak here and there. 
I.E might have a hi-mass bridge or 4 bolt neck that the original didn’t etc. 

Tis sold this one sadly. So still on the lookout if anyone has one 🤠

For sale (or possible trade with a Roadworn or Nitro finished Jazz of some kind)

I purchased this new a couple of years ago well because it was charging green mainly…..and I love a good stingray. These Stingray specials are just brilliant IMO. I’ve had a lot of different stingrays in the past and I have always loved them but the new improvements really are actual improvements. They feel way more ergonomic in every way. The roasted neck is just perfect, kind of less baseball bat esq than the old ones. 
 

The price of a new one in these crazy days is utterly mental: circa 1000 english pounds more than this and also not in charging green.
 

Condition is as new. All the case candy is still present. I actually cannot find a mark on it. It has been to numerous band practices and a few gigs but seems to have escaped unscathed and all it’s charging green loveliness is intact. 
 

Weight is 9lb or 4kg

Courier to your door in its proper, nuclear detonation proof musicman case, included if you reside in the Uk. Happy to ship elsewhere but will need to be organised by yourself
