Not the same guitar. The vmj has pj pups and matching headstock

2. Why on earth are these files so expensive.
I needed to open up the slots on my Ryder to accomodate the black nylons I was putting on and used the file on my trusty Leatherman tool,or it might have been the swiss army knife.
Any way, these are just files and they sell small files in model shops, radiospares maplins etc,i mean its only a bit of plastic for gods sake so why the mega price?

3. So there you go.
A bass thats given 37 pages of discussion, sorted out Sue Ryders stock, given a lot of pleasure to so many people as well as giving a test bed for you all to try out different things.
All for sixty notes.
Thats value for money.

4.
Where was that...bit shocking!? Bristol was something like £22 when I looked, and I thought that was pretty pricey for a venue like the Colston Hall.
WhenI looked earlier that was the price I seemed to see, however on another perusal he's doing an appearance at the Royal Festival Hall on the 4June.
Tickets £24.50 -£45.00 so maybe I was mistaken.
Must say I would far prefer to see him at a smaller more intimate venue even if it were a bit more, but not a lot more.

5. Must say part of the attraction of the Jag is its look.
They just look so nice and a bit different to the general run of the mill basses out there.
The Big Al is quite a different looking guitar and it packs quite a price as well.At over £1700 I would be expecting certain other pleasures from playing it besides sounding nice.
Referring to the pickups I've never come across any derogatory remarks about Fender jazz pickups ,be they American or Japanese,in fact the sound from the jag in passive leaves my MIA jazz in the shade.

6.
Looks like it's gone. It's in the drop down as you say, but it's not actually on the upper menu bar with the Jazz, Precision and Mustang if you go onto the actual model pages. Some topics on their forums note that even in the USA they've vanished from shops and now the webby, although there's no official word.

Bit of a shame really.
Don't know if they're still being made for the Japan only market, but nows a good time to try and bag yourelf one, before the prices start to go up.
There's an unused s/h one on ebygumtree for the princely sum of £900 in black.
one turned up on ebay last week that had been gigged and it sold bin for £340 with hard case.

I think they stopped producing in 2008.

Well thats it.
Would I really have it even if I could afford it.

Dunno

Probably not...........but you never know.

8. Another here for Si.
Mentioned to him a few weeks back that I was looking for a Jaguar bass in red and he sourced one for me from the good ole U S of A.
Absolutely mint and a bit of a stunner.
Got a nice Mustang off him last year as well, but I seem to have forgotten to mention that.
If your looking for something in particular its well worth giving him a call, you just never know.
Tea's good too.

9.
I've seen one in the flesh and was disappointed. It wasn't great. Looked very, err, cost-effective.

P
Double thanks for that.
I'm off to get another bass today and seeing the Epiphone gave me a Woah!!!!!!!!!!! moment as I'was thinking I'd like afretless acoustic.
Looks like the old Tanglewood acoustic may be heading towards de fret city :)
