1. Soundlab Micro Mixer G105F
Four channel stereo mixer OR 8 channel mono mixer, all changed with the press of a button.
Powered via 9V D.C. (not supplied) or a 9V battery.

8 3/4" inputs, each with a volume control.
Two output volume controls, left and right for stereo.
1 3/4" output.

Simple volume alteration, about the size of 3 'BBQ' match sized match boxes stacked on top of each other.
Weighs...really really light, this is more than portable.

I have used it the day i bought it then was given another mixer so this is going spare.
I bought it a week ago, it's in 'as new' condition apart from the box has a few knocks but that has no effect on the mixer.
Also there's no manual, none was included when bought, but you dont need one. All the info if on the box then just plug in and go.

I have used it to do some recording on my Micro BR and it sounded good. No tone loss, i plugged in my acoustic bass, and also using a realllly bad mic. (unbranded stuff someone had in their cupboard) and again, it worked great.

I'm looking for...£15 posted (first class delivery) This is slightly less than the cheapest online price i could find, and reflects that it's 'as new' and used once.
(paypal is fine or bank transfer)

any takers?

Enjoy.

2. wouldn't the main difference be due to the speaker size and depth.

Cause, i as using GCSE physics knowledge here...and i wasn't that good, surely a larger, deeper speaker cone would produce a deeper sound.
And that'll be the main difference...

(might be talking utter rubbish)

3. perhaps stating the obvious

but does it sound 'off' if you imagine the sound of an acoustic guitar.

Cause i have an acoustic bass n acoustic guitar n they sound relatively similar.
So if it sounds like an acoustic guitar then there probably isn't anything wrong.

(i hope that doesn't seem patronising, but at with the guy above. I dont actually understand the problem)

4. Thanks to everyone for all the advice.
I'm quite glad i did post this now.

I have a feeling the pick up might be slightly higher towards D and E, infact i shall check right now...
Yeah i think the bridge pick up is slightly higher on the E end, very slightly.

As for the strings, someone might be right there the G is a different make to the rest of them.

I use either D'Addario Chromes Flatwound (Super Light, i like having a loose tension)
Or La Bella 'Deep Talkin' Flatwound (against a light gauge)

I say either cause one of those is on my fretted and one is on my fretless, (the bass in question is fretless)

I dont know why i didn't change that G string, it was probably cause it was a 'nice' tension.

I will have a hunt later for the other string and restring, and see if that makes a difference. It might explain why the G is quieter.
If that doesn't work then i might then set about trying out some of the other suggestions.

Thanks agian for the help.
And keep it coming if there's any other ideas.

Ashok

5. Yeah the output's lower on both pickups and i've tried lowering just the D and G strings but it didn't seem to change anything.

As for checking the actual pickups i haven't, i might get it checked over by a guitar tech. but i thought some helpful advice from the BC community could aid my plight first.

Turn the pick ups around...hmm, nice idea.
(Just to clarify, do you mean switching the two around or turning them 180 degrees, if that makes sense)?

6. Hi, i have a jazz, style, bass that has a realllly low output on the D and G strings but the E and A are relatively loud.
(I posted something earlier about the voluming cutting but i realised that was just the amp)
I've tried altering the EQ on the bass n that doesn't change the output...can't see why it would but perhaps.

I was wondering if anyone had any idea as to how i could boost these two strings volume.
If i was to play a G on each string (sticking with the same pitch G) then it sounds louder on the D and E strings, so it's not like the bass is responding differently to different frequencies. (I might've just mis matched a lot of words there but i hope you'll get what i mean)
Would changing the Pick ups, or wiring or the tone controls (it's passive right now) help?

I know compression might work aswell, or something like that, but i just get the feeling that there's something 'up' about my bass.

Thanks.

7. Ok well, i have a fretless jazz, style, bass.
Not a fender or anything, twos actually made for me by some guy...i would say who but to be honest i dont know.

The problem is, i've had the bass for a few months now and really dislike playing it cause i get a really uneven output from it, the D and G string are much quieter than the A and E and also the output can just vary from time to time so it sounds like the noise is cutting in and out. I have tried lowering the D and G strings but this doesn't help so i was wondering if anyone thought it could be a pick up problem?

I think it could be, as that would explain the varying output, i dont know how it would but i think it would.
Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so can they suggest any solutions.

Thanks.

They look small enough.

Thanks for the links.

9. I'm looking for a small mixer, a really really small mixer.
Just a few inputs, a volume control and an output.

Just like...
http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=Soundla...=1&ct=title

Only problem is that none of the links there, or anywhere else i've looked, have them in stock.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Enjoy.

10. I use Shure SE210s which are rather good.
Only problem is that after...7 months(ish) of constant use the wire started to show out of the headphones.
But all i had to do was find the recipt and send them off and i Shure sent me a brand new pair. (and they have a 2 year warantee)

Might be slightly more expensive than 50 quid though.

12.
There's a few of us on here that have done the CS3 mod. I managed it just fine and that was while consuming six cans of lager.
alright, i might check it out.
Infact, i keep forgetting this, i know a guy who fixes guitars n stuff so if i can't do it i imagine they can.

Given there are loads of people offering CS-3 mods. i dont get why Boss dont just upgrade the necessary parts on their pedal
