. . . . I think we all look forward to you review

Right who lives in the Northampton - Leicester - Peterborough triangle who would like to try one of these cabs? I live in Corby Nr Northampton

Anyone ?

. . . . Anyone ?

Dust ?

Anyone ?

2. Great basses, I've owned two B-301's stpidly let my first one go a few years back
and have recently bought another one from here on the forum that was fretted then had the frets ground down to the tangs to make it lined fretless ! I am currently having it re-fretted and brought back to it former glory !

They soung great, think cross between a P-bass and a Rick very middy with well pronounced bottom end plenty of top end too. They also growl like a baaad dog. A well set up B-301/2 will play like butter.

I love the shape too, bit like a melted Ric I suppose, Cool as Furk

Expect to pay between £300 - 500 tops

3. I dont see the problem here.

How long ago did you buy it? Was it brand new or second hand?

Just pack it up, take it back and tell them whats not working.
Any decent shop will just take it off you, check it and sort it.

There should be no problems, issues or arguments at all.

Be nice and polite should be end of story ;)

4.
Seeing as that's where I grew up I can't neglect you people! Hopefully if we have a UK Bass Bash it'll be in Northants again, in which case I'll be there.

If you send it back in one piece then you can enjoy a Barefaced cab for a week or so for the cost of return postage (about £20). Cheaper than renting one?Alex
Is there anyone in Northampton / Kettering / Corby area who also wants to try one of Alex's cab's?
We can then hopefully get our hands on one for a couple of weeks between us, as I need to give it a couple of gigs or at very least a practice to make up my mind.
Might as well take advantage of trying one is you can !

Alex - It will be sent back in the same condition as received, don't worry !
Now just to decide which one, what is available to test?
I currently us a MarkBass 410HF (front ported 4x10) and need punch, projection and
play in a 4 piece covers band playing Stones to Stereophonice, Van Morrison to Oasis etc
What would you suggest?

Cheers
Ade

5. I actually bought a Landmark 300 off Cetera when he got his Landmark 600

1/ They sound amazing

2/ Very versatile, although I also struggled to get a totally clean sound
possible only available on one channel with the 'blend' off, not sure now.

3/ Slightly underpowered

4/ Did I say they sound amazing !?

If you can get one for the right price I'd give it a go, although you would need to run it
at 4 ohms to get the full 300 watts

Thats MY bit of suck ! (Also got a Maya 'Lawsuit' Les Paul Guitar on there too)
Got them for nowt and they've sat in the spare room for ages
Might get me a few bob and the bass has got a hard case too . . . Oooh errr missus ;)

7. Well I'm the new proud owner of the Guild B-301
I'm really pleased with it, great condition for a 33yr old bass

I had a B-301 when I was 20 and should never have let it go and I have yearned for one
for ages, but most that come along are either battered or fretless. At least this was fretted
at one point and will be again soon !

It will be off this week for a re-fret and then out on regular gig duty along side my Ric 4003
They are going to look great together.

Chuffed to bits ;) , Cheers Glyn

8. As it says on the tin . . . .

Fender USA Precision Bass S1 switching in Butterscotch Blonde
This is a beautiful bass in 9.5 / 10 condition, currently fitted with a Badass III Bridge
Thru body string, superb neck and comes with Fender Hard case, tags etc approx 3 years old

Looking at £535 fitted with Badass III
and £500 as with standard bridge

Happy to post looking at about £25 via APC

Not looking for trade as this is to fund another purchase !

Based in Corby, Northants (Midlands)

From the Fender site it might show the colour better

9.
Well Guys, thanks for all your comments!

I'm now the proud owner of a beautiful Fireglo 4003, which I bought from Geddy's Nose (cheers Simon).
I'm very happy to say that it sounds incredible through my LM11 and 2x Loud Inc 2x10 cabs. :)
Told ya !

10. Well its a great combination !

Let the people who have them tell you what they are like, NOT what people 'think' they might or might not be like together !

I use a Ric 4003 thru MarkBass LMII & 410HF Cab with the occasional us of a MXR M-80 dirty pedal = Loud and punchy. Not as 'clinical' as you might think either, especially when cranked up.

I have a Fender P-Bass too and choose the Ric over the P just about all of the time.

Go for it !

11.
November bump!

Still on the lookout for FX folks...

Will also entertain offers...
This a bargain guys and gals I use the very same 8ohm cab with a Little Mark II and it is amazing and plenty loud
for any situation.

Don't be put off using just an 8ohm cab
