Hi. I've put a little pedal board together but I'm getting a chronic buzz when I chain more than one together. I've tried a few things:
Replaced the patch cables, still got an issue.
Removed individual pedals - no problem. Each one works fine on its own.
Took the octave pedal out - that reduced the buzz but it was still there.
Solution - I've run a separate power to the ADAM. The Octave and Metaphors are taking power from the power block on the board. See last pic to see what I mean - this has no buzz at all. It's not an earth thing because when I run the ADAM and Ocatave off the pedalboard PSU and plug the other supply in the Metaphors the noise returns.
I know the ADAM is a hungry bugger but there's a dedicated 500mA outlet.
Would a solution be getting a 1.5A 10v PSU?
I'm really stumped by this.
Any help gratefully received!

A manufacturer we buy a lot of items from at work use DHL. They had a tick box option that said "Courier to bring labels" on their courier request form to save us printing them out.
However, in our experience, the DHL driver never had the labels, so the items would not get collected unless we printed and put them on the box ourselves. I have noticed that tick box option has disappeared from the request form so must have been a regular issue!
Urgh. Honestly. If you're doing a collection I'd have thought it was automatic to bring a label. The courier was going to take the box away without anything on it saying where it was going ffs. If they'd asked me to print and attach I'd have done so but I'd have wanted to take a pic of it being taken away in the van...

Fair play, Thomann said they'd rearrange and that this time the courier would definitely come with a label and I can take a photo of that as proof of collection which is fine. Will have to wait till friday though boooo!

Well that was odd. DPD just came to collect the bass. I handed it to the courier guy and asked for a receipt and he said he can't give a receipt so I said "okay, I'll just take a photo of you taking the box away" and he said no and handed the box back to me!!!!!
What the actual F*CK?!

They have less markup as Thomann owns HB so they can sell them at cost if they want without making a loss, then flog you all the accessories for a profit.
Well the tuners seem to work okay but the bridge is nasty so may get an aftermarket one.

They aren't. Apparently they are loss leaders as part of a long term customer base and brand building strategy.
Well. I'm pretty promiscuous when it comes to buying gear - I'll go with whoever takes my fancy at any given point. BUT. The experience of dealing with their customer service has meant I'm very happy to use Thomann again in the future. It was a bit of a faff taking loads of pics for them to claim against DHL but they were friendly and efficient in solving an issue. Honestly, cheap'n'cheerful products are only going to win you customers if the customer service is up to dealing with the issues and from my experience, it is.

It's a crack. I got it for £228 as it was b stock but they've offered to replace for new and they'll take it up with DHL as the box has a great big hole in it!
It's a shame as this one isn't at all heavy! Still, it's got a big crack at the neck. Never a good look!
It's very nice though. I can't imagine how they're making a profit on this.

Shame...
Whats the headstock, tuners like? Could it of got a knock at the top?
In the finish or in the wood?..
If only finish, and ya happy with the rest i'd be on em for a good discount... If the wood, back it goes.

If it helps, I've just weighed the one I have (that exact model) and it's 9.1 lbs / 4.13 kg.
Oh, and the pickups are nowhere near jazz shape, but sound pretty decent to my ears.
Well, I'm pretty open minded. I guess I just tend to default to passive if it's an option and I don't think you can bypass the eq on this bass. Not a huge deal.

If your hanger is in a solid wall, you'll be grand. I could show the pitcures of what happens after time with it on in a stud partition wall 🙂
It is now on a floor stand! lol & I haven't got round to fixing the holes just yet!Yeah. I may stick with the floor-stand then!

This is my exact review. It's good to play, sounds good and is silly VFM. It is, however, insanely heavy. Like, I-can't-stand-for-30-mins-with-this-on-without-backpain heavy. I play in a band where we swap insrutments about, so it's not too bad, but I dread having 2-3 consecutive bass tracks, so have got something lighter for everyday.
So it's great for messing with and playing seated. It isn't a bass I'd want to gig without some serious gym work, though!
Hmm. Bit worried about the wall-mounted guitar hanger then!

Just out of curiosity, what's the pickup? It says JJ but that doesn't look like a standard Fender-type pickup. Anyone got any idea? I'll have a good look when I'm changing the strings but just wondered if anyone had any experience.

Anyone needing any work in South East London for bass or guitar I would recommend John from STRING KING GUITAR WORKS in Charlton, my Sire M2 bass had a problem with the wiring on the jack socket, he fixed it (after my bodged attempt !!) in under a day, I dropped it off yesterday at 10.30am and picked it up at 10am today, great work and all for a reasonable £34 inckuding two new batteries for the active circuit

Just to say I took my Dingwall in for a service and very happy. I'll be taking other stuff for a lookie-over in the future...

Well.... mine's on th eway!
I'll put a set of flats on it as I just fancy that. I may swap out for a set of rounds in the future, see how it goes. I'm pretty neutral but right now I'm in the mood for tapie-wapies!

Why the obsession with flats on a fretless? Rounds on all of mine.
I guess it's just a tasty pairing. No reason not to go with rounds but it's such a lovely combination that it kinda gets under your skin.

Well… they had a b-stock for £228. With delivery. I bought it!

Hiya. What do you think of this? I fancy dipping my toes in 5-string fretless playing, and I LOVED the Musicman Stingray I tried a couple of weeks ago but I'm not prepared to stump up the £2,300 to find out it's not my thing long-term.
Is this a reasonable punt?

I mean, if it was dreadful I could return it couldn't I?

It has sorry! It is now happily with Lee650
I’m not sure how to update the title of the post to say it’s been sold though
No problem. Just click on the three dots at the top of the listing for you and then choose edit - put sold in the title.

I'm guessing this has gone now. Well, saved me from myself!

Sold this to the 16 year old son of my old college buddy. They're not exactly flush so was happy to give it to an appreciative kid for a very good price. He's happy as Larry apparently!

Honestly I’m not an active bass man. I needed a fretless for the show and that was what they could get to me the next day. I genuinely loved the sire so much I ordered the passive version so that arrived and I had no need to 2 fretless 5’s! Somebody else deserves this one!
Ah. That makes sense. Honestly I don’t use the active on my Dingwall much but I just take the batteries out!
Buzzing when connecting multiple pedals to PSU. Do I need an 18v with more than 1000mA?
