    Was bit odd when I got it, the owner said it had been set up. The truss rod was loose, the nut slots were well out. not a very good set up🤔

    Yeah clamped and left for about 3 days. Then a very slight rub down feels great now.

    Got my 2021 Chowney swb1 couple of weeks ago. Real pleased till I found tge neck had crack that the previous owner did not tell me about🙁 Anyway managed to glue it up, looks great now with a set of Labelka tapes on. looking forward to learning to play it now.

    Has anyone fitted la Bella tape wound to a Chowny swb1. If so should they be fitted through the body or through the bridge? thanks.

    I have been in touch with Chowney and they are having long delays at the factory, so yeah still going. Looking forward to getting one later this year🤞

    Well had a grand anniversary away and time to ponder my tip toe into bass. It was a toss up between the rumbler and chowney swb1🤔 Have decided to go for the chowney, its a good price new condition and close to home. Thought I should let you know my decision, thanks very much, hope you have a successful sale. Cheers👍

    What are the views on La Bella black nylon flat wound strings? I know absolutely nothing about bass strings🫤 but do like the look of these and thinking of fitting to a short scale bass. 😬

    I have been around the block trying to make a decision on what bass to buy with my small budget. started with acoustic then semi hollow, Jack casady Allen woody and others. Fretless or fretted?? My head aches🥴 now I have found an old Ibanez Roadstar rb760 looks great. Anybody got any info on this model all the reviews I've read are favourable.

    Seen a good deal on this Aria FEB-FL/F STBK Still struggling to make my mind up🥴 the aria (do fancy a fretless) Fender kingman, Ibanez agb200 or pos. Jack casady. ????

    Well, been looking at semi hollows, some great bits of kit out there. The two I have gravitated to are the Ibanez agb200 or the jack casady, if I can find one for around 400😬 Wish me luck.

    Thanks everyone, some serious food for thought😬 I will be doing some acoustic and recording stuff, no giging really. I play with a local community Ceilidh band but try to play the fiddle with them. Like the the look of the epiphone jack casady, be lucky to find one in my price range😂 Anyway early days yet lots to learn first. Luvin it👍

    Thanks for your replies👍 some nice bits of kit there although Some well out of my price range. surprised to see a 5 string from gear4music, I get most of my stuff from them. Whats the thoughts on that, is it a good buy? New to bass but want to something future proof got 300🥴
