Hi
I am not a good enough player to be able to play 4 5 and 6 string basses and to swap from one to another at will.
I have spent the last few months working with my five string and am ready to use it at gigs.
I have there for decided that I will sell all my 4 string bases or swap for 5 stringers.
This is the the second I have for sale
It is the best jazz bass I have played and I have played a couple of custom shop models.
One piece swamp ash body in Antique white
One piece birdseye maple neck with EBONY board (you dont get them very often now)
Audere preamp 2 band 3 Z modes
Nordstrand pickups NJ4SEs
Baddass 2 bridge
Schaller BMs lightweight tuners
Its a whos who of the top bits I bought it from sisterabdullahx who had it made for him.
It would cost over £1300 just to buy the bits pay the taxes and import duty then you need a luthier to assemble it
The only reason for selling (or swapping) is that I have decided I cannot play 4 and 5 strings its one or the other for me. So I am only using 5 stringers.
I bought it for £475 which was a steal and will sell for the same I have no wish to make a profit. If I do not sell I will break it up and sell the bits on the bay where I will get at least what I paid but probably more (look at warmoth stuff on ebay)
The action is the lowest I have ever seen on a bass without any fret rattle it plays looks and sounds fantstic.
There is a picture in my personal photo I will put up some others tomorrow
I am ideally after a sale on this one but may be tempted by a trade Ive always fancied a 5 string corvette $$ but anything else would be considered also I am particularly after a biggish amplifier (Eden IAmps SWR etc ) minimum 500 watts. Cash either way on a deal.
any questions dont hesitate to contact me

This is the first
This is a Prose karuna it was made by Paul Rose for a fellow basschatter who sold it on to wrinkleygit who sold it on to me.
I was designed as a travel headless bass guitar it is a full 34 inch scale length. The neck is bolted into sockets set in the body
so it always goes back on in exactly the same place a brilliant idea. The original owner wanted it for a tour and the idea was he could
take the neck off and fit it in an airline overhead locker. It comes in a guitar sized gig bag.
It has ABM individual bridge tuner units and an ABM headpiece. It can take double ball end or ordinairy strings.
The nut is a 'just a nut' with individual adjustment for string height. the body is spanish cedar the neck is maple the board is
rosewood with brass side markers.
The pickups are emg Hz passive clones (and are as loud as hell) each has a volume control which is push pull to coil tap each humbucker giving a great range of
sounds no tone controls.
the body and neck are oil finished and the neck is very precision like chunky.
It cost £500 to make and then £60 for the gigbag and pro set up for the originbal owner.
I paid £325 for it from Wrinklygit and would like to get that back.
I am not desparate to sell as there is only one of these guitars in the world but will offer it to
basschatters for a couple of weeks. If at the end of that time it has not sold ill put it away ans save it. I am prepared to trade and am after an amplifier head / combo or a good 5 string guitar cash either way.
contact me if you have any questions or offers ANY TRADE CONSIDERED looking for a good quality 2x 10 particularly new lightweight Trace Elliot

Finally these basses are starting to get recognised for their quality and playability. An active 4 string in sunburst ended last night on Ebay at £236.
I've got this Amp with 4x10 and 2x10 cabs. It's a good bit of kit, plenty loud and with a wide range of sounds. The tube preset is fairly convincing however, the distortion is a bit pants.
I'm really happy with mine and I paid a lot more than this.
A bargain I'd say.
Good luck,
LC
Yes a great bit of kit the flat sound w3hich is the only one I would use is quite hi fi
but its a bit OTT for a backup rig and that is all it really has been
Redo your soldering, sounds like some bad joints in there.
I intend to redo all the soldering and check the polarity issue when I get a day off work
Could the grounding wire to the bridge be broken?
it could be but it isnt and the hum does not reduce when you touch the strings

Hi
I have a bass guitar with 2 passive emg hzs wired to two push pull volume pots no tone pots
The guitar has the follwowing issues
1 very loud hum when both volumes are turned off
2 medium loud hum when both or either volumes are turned up full
3 little hum when either or both of the volume pots are pulled up to coil tap the humbuckers
there is no situation where i get no hum
when I looked in side for both pickups the black wire is hot the green wire is connected to the bare wire and goes to earth and the red and white are joined (and then connected to the coil tap push pull switch)
ALL LOOKS GOOD SO FAR
BUT
when i lift the pickups the wire comes out of the top of one and the botton of the other
does this mean i need to turn the humbucker through 180 degrees could this be the problem

Hi
I have the yamaha BBt 500 1 x15 combo on castors mint condition. £180
I also have the 2 of the bbt 2x 10 speakers again mint condition £125 each
Amp head without the 1 x15 cab £140
The combo is 250 watts into a 4 ohm internal speaker. If you add one of the speakers you get the full 500 watts at 2 ohms.
OR you can remove the head from the combo and use it with the 2 BBT210s again getting the 2 ohm load and 500 watts
If you want all of it ill take £400 cash or amplifier speaker trades considered.
I am especially after a headless 4 string, an aerodyne precision bass, a warwick corvette double $$
or in amplifiers an Eden or EA iamps head
will consider any other trades please pm me as they go to my phone I am not able to check basschat at work
