@knicknack - Cheers! apologies for having you hold my hand through this.. but theres plenty of options and thickness etc.
Which one did you purchase? i love the B/W/B but there seems to be a few different ones - i want EXACTLY what you got!
Was it this one? - https://www.wdmusic.co.uk/pickguards-c62/fender-basses-c111/mustang-bass-japanese-reissue-c294/wd-music-mustang-bass-re-issue-b-w-b-p8763 -
@Paul S - Thanks but not what I am looking for! I hope you sell it tho, would look really cool on a black mustang for sure!

@skej21 - looks so good! I am thinking this is the right choice! will look so nice with the aged white knobs too!
What year is yours do you know? mines 2006-2008 - do you have a link to where you bought yours from? any help would be appreciated -

@Dobsyuk I just fitted my CIJ (don't know the year) with a black guard from WD and it's fits perfectly. Hope this helps in some way!
@knicknack AWESOME! will this help? - also can you link me to the exact one please?

WOW! they look so much better with the scratch plates switched!!!
Sorry to hi-jack this post but I thought it would be suitable to get involved here instead of starting a new one.
Thinking of doing a similar thing. Mine is CIJ 2006-2008. She's a bit beat (like that when I got her, but i like that worn look)
However, I want to get a black scratchplate but can only find these - https://www.axesrus.co.uk/ARUMUSTBASS-p/arumust.htm
Which if you read the spec it for American & Mexican bass's really so I am a bit miffed on how to get one that will fit correctly? Does anyone know where you can pick up one that will fit?
Also a slightly different note, I didn't realise it until looking online at other mustang's but it looks as if the tone/volume knobs have been changed from the original ones also.. maybe strat ones?
I would like to change these to these - https://www.andertons.co.uk/fender-replacement-stratocaster-knobs-(set-of-3)-aged-white-0991369000?LGWCODE=0991369000;56375;6335&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrpeRg_HW4QIVqLDtCh2SBQ17EAQYASABEgL6dPD_BwE
Does anyone know if they will fit - I am probably answering my own question here considering it looks like they are already on it.
Thanks for any help with this guys and as I said sorry to the Original Poster for hi-jacking! -

Please world stop scratching out "Made in Japan" !
I have 2 JVs (a strat and a tele) where the phantom scratcher of Olde London Towne has struck
This is made sad too

If anyone is interested in this - GO FOR IT.
I recently got the same one (mines beat to stinky poo though, kinda like it with that worn look) - so fun to play!
I think mine was re-issue from 2006/08 (not sure which) to about 2010.
Hope you sell it!

Hey Lloyd, welcome to BassChat. Enjoyed reading your introduction and I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.
I'm sure you'll be able to find a jazz bass in the marketplace cheap enough but still quality enough to not need another anytime soon.... Keeping the band and the old wallet strings at ease 😉👌🏻
Hope to see you around

Hey Big Smoke!
i'll have a dig on the marketplace section and see what i can find!
Cheers!Lloyd

Hello from Waterlooville.
Have you had a look in the Southsea Guitar Centre? Good place to look for s/h stuff.
No I haven’t! That’s a great shout.
what do you mean by s/h stuff?

Hey Guys,
I'm Lloyd, i am 28 and from Pompey. I have been playing on and off since I was 13.
I have a Fender MIM 50's road-worn precision in Sunburst + recently picked up a crafted in Japan Fender Mustang so I can twinkle around with a shorter scale.
I usually play more indie rock kinda stuff but recently have gotten into playing more motown and classics to improve my playing and way of thinking.
I am currently looking around for a Jazz bass but nothing special so if anyone has some suggestions that won't break the bank please let us know (also doesn't have to be Fender either) - I have recently been looking at SX Jazz Bass's (vintage series) as have read a lot that they are a bit better than a Squier, so wondering if people had any more info on those! (i am a big fan of the band Khruangbin and Laura Lee uses one which had me intrigued)
Cheers guys 😁

!HELP!
Does anyone know where I can get a 10 hole scratchplate for my Fender 50’s Road Worn P Bass? MIM - having difficulty.
Would like a black one (black/white/black) 3 ply if possible! Also if I went for 3 ply would I need longer screws?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
