1. I bought a custom shop jazz off Jon, the bass was great and exactly as described, good communication and even picked me up from the tube station when i came to view the bass. Jon is a great bloke and a reliable seller. Buy with confidence!

2. Still available, thanks for all the interesting trade options so far and apologies for any delays as i have been away.. This is an incredible bass.. i have been playing it and loving it the last few weeks, you really can't get any better than this for a jazz.. I just cant afford to keep it! The cash price i am looking for is £1600

3. Price drop to £800 to get this going..

After some previous posts questioning the age of the neck i can conform from the neck stamp that it is indeed a '75 neck. I have been through a lot of research and checked the neck stamp number against online calculators. According to these the neck is from late '75. I have also spotted a 1975 precision for sale on denmark street, it also has a skunk stripe. I can only assume these are "transition period". Long story short the neck is genuine. I am currently reluctant to split the bass into parts as i think it sounds great and feels god and deserves to be played.

4. I am linking into some other adds of stuff i have to sell as some is Double Bass related and i would consider trades for a double bass..

I have a Fender Custom Shop '61 NOS Jazz Bass here:

Also there is a Mesa Boogie 400+, Bergantino 1x12 Cabinet and Acoustic Image Focus 2R Amplifier here:

http://basschat.co.uk/topic/256071-mesa-boogie-400-acoustic-image-focus-2r-and-bergantino-1x12/

The Bergantino and Acoustic Image Focus Amp are a great combination for double bass and other acoustic instruments.

5. I am clearing out a load of bass gear to raise funds:

I will take better photos ASAP and update the add but just trying to gauge interest:

I have the following for sale...

NB Mesa 400+ on hold pending payment.

Acoustic Image Focus 2R

Great class D powerhouse amp kicking out a total of 800w
There are two channels, each with individually controlled filters to cut annoying or harsh frequencies (amazing for use with double bass)

This is the ideal amp for electric / upright doubling gigs. With a double bass and an Aguilar 2x12 I was able to finally compete with a fairly loud band and it kicked out plenty of volume without any feedback, I was using a realist pickup and the two seem to match well.

As an electric amp it has a clean sound with a tubeyness to it, I used it on larger outdoor stages as a stand in for my Ampeg SVT through a big 2x15 and it had more than enough power.

As this amp is designed primarily for acoustic instruments it can aslo be use with any of these. I have done gigs where an acoustic guitarist or violinist is going through the other channel while I play double bass and they have always raved about the sound. Please note this also has build in reverbs and effects, although less used on bass they are great for any other acoustic instruments.

Looking for £500 for this tiny beast.

Bergantino 112 EX

A great sounding cab, loud for its size and great definition and bottom end.. These cabs are excellently build and sound amazing using electic or double bass. This is the version with no tweeter.

The cab is in great condition and sounds amazing.

Price on this would be £350

Mesa Boogie Bass 400+

This amp needs no introduction, a very loud all tube beast with more power than you could ever need. I got as an alternative to using an Ampeg SVT but financial pressures being the way they are I cannot justify keeping such as expensive amp as a spare! The amp is in good condition, a few scrapes and bumps consistent with the age of the amp but everything is as it should and it sounds great

I got this shipped over from the states last year and had it converted to UK power, all the tubes have plenty of life and it is currently being serviced before selling to ensure there are no surprises.

On Hold Pending the usual.

Im not really looking for trades on these as i am trying to raise funds to get a double bass and my dream precision!! All these can be viewed in Bristol or London by prior arrangement. I am also considering the sale of an american built Ampeg SVT VR when it returns from being serviced. A hard decision but get in touch if you are interested!

6. This is a fine Fender custom shop jazz bass I bought a few months back off fellow TBer Noisyjon. This really is an excellent example, pristine condition, great construction and pickups, quarter-sawn maple neck. A great range of sounds from the stacked knob controls. This bass feels and sounds great, lovely neck and feel.

The specs are:
1961 Jazz Bass, NOS
Chocolate 3 Tone Sunburst
Alder body
Jazz Bass 4 Ply Tortoiseshell pick guard
Vintage Jazz bass pickups
Stack knob controls
Quarter sawn maple neck
Madagascar Rosewood fretboard
7.25” Radius
1961 Jazz Bass decal
Standard bridge replaced with a Badass II bridge (both included)
C/W Brown Fender case and all accessories

I’m only shifting this because I am more of a precision bass player and I can borrow a 1962 jazz bass for the one gig I use one for so I can’t really justify keeping such an expensive instrument as I would really like a Precision with a jazz neck.

Whoever picks up this bass will not be disappointed, the construction and sound are all top notch and the quarter-sawn neck feels amazing as well as being totally even in tone across the board. The sound is pure vintage jazz.

The bass is pictured mostly with a Badass II installed but the original bridge is included, Noisyjon measured the height precisely so the two are interchangeable without any need for set-up or adjustment

I’m not really looking for trades as such but will consider old precisions (with slimmer necks if possible) as well as high end precisions or P/J basses.

The bass is available to view in Bristol or occasionally London with some pre-planning.

Comes with case and all case candy intact.
